The way you transition from saying geocities to myspace makes me figure I’m a lot older than you. 90s Geocities pages were their own kind of madness.

Sooo...is this really that subversive (to use the word everyone keeps negatively using)? Joel dying should be obvious. The knock on them there is that it is so obvious that they apparently had to edit marketing materials to make it look like he’s alive longer? Switching to Abby might be kinda hokey (oh look, now you…
Just out of idle curiosity, what are your feelings on Kojima doing the same marketing misdirection with MGS2?
I wonder why Japanese curry isn't as popular in the US. I had a lot of it in Australia (hi Luke!) and loved it. It doesn't seem like something that would be "too exotic" for American palates. I don't think I've ever seen it here.
By doing it he's drawn more attention to it than he would have otherwise. People never learn.
Hell it looks like she's never even seen another person use a drill. At least she didn't grab it by the bit and hold it like a hammer.
I didn't think move fast and break things was meant to be taken so literally.
I had never heard of it, looking it up I see it’s 150 for the console and 12 games, and they’ve secured some interesting names for those games, like the guy who made katamari damacy. That’s interesting, but I’m skeptical. I love having a lower powered portable console that can play lots of indie games... that’s why I…
Your original comment sounds like you’re questioning him porting doom over, something that was obviously just a fun side project for him. I don’t think you’re going to find many people disagreeing with you that the device seems pointless as 150.
I’m kinda confused, when you say 2D concept art you mean the hand drawn art? A videogame needs to produce a new frame about every 1/30th or less of a second (often ideally as fast or faster than 1/60th). In that fraction of a second the game has to figure out what it’s rendering (camera location, model…
And then days later Polygon publishes one of the relatively few positive reviews of the movie. Hmm.
It’s not a music joke, though? Sea sounds like the pronunciation of the letter C, generally not a good a achievement in schools that assign letter grades (growing up my schools didn’t have Ds so C was the worst you could do without failing). A C+ is a C that’s at least close to a B, so the pun is saying the “C” bass…
I was 4 or 5 playing F 15, and I’d turn the computer off between missions to give the pilot a break, much to my parent’s annoyance.
It's great but I always fumble the line in person. Lorve led a duck!
So many stories today seem to have been built around, and depend so strongly, on having the one big super twist, that it’s circled back around to being predictable. Split would have been a better movie if the director hadn’t been trying to outsmart everyone trying to outsmart him.
Don’teven even need to go to MGS3 when MGS actually has the scene where Snake climbs the stairs in the tower! Complete with snarky dialog, including special dialog if you make it to the top without ever breaking stride (I think that's how it worked).
You can also use something like a yubikey with the yubico authentication app which is on pc as well as mobile.
Ah, for Sony the Technical Requirements Checklist. It’s proprietary but from reading around it includes stuff like making sure games that autosave have the warning about not shutting down the system when you see X symbol, making sure save data works right, everything interfaces with the OS settings right, stuff like…
I recall reading that consoles have a big quality-control checklist that has to be satisfied before games are allowed to be published for them, and responding appropriately to controller disconnects was one of the items on the list. I think I remember reading this in the PS3 era, so it’s been a rule for a while. I’m…
Yah, once I read it was relatively short, that was a pro given my current situation. Disappointed to see the sequel isn’t on Switch! Looks like it took four years for the original so I won’t hold my breath. I’ll buy it on steam, looks like I can use my nintendo pro controller on pc easily via Steam.
