Driving is slower, more dangerous, and for me, less comfortable (I can do 8 hours ok and have many times but I fall off very quickly, meanwhile I’m fairly short which helps with seats). I have flown many times with family about a 24 hour drive away and work sending me out about once a month from 2013-2014. My

The key to doing math in your head is to NOT do math in your head. It is no effort at all to say that half of 55 is 27.5 (half of 50 is 25, half of 60 is 30, what’s halfway between?). 10% of 55 is 5.5 (just move the decimal). I can see the numbers so it’s easy, but even with a gun to your head and no capacity to add

I used to think this was whining, but I usually play games on my PC, up close to a monitor. I got FFXV on PS4 and I have to cut my viewing distance in half to read the text comfortably. Admittedly my setup is 10 feet from a 50 inch tv which is probably too far in general. But yah, I think this is an issue with modern

Enthusiasts are notorious for overstating the hardware requirements to run a game. The stated mininum video card on PoE’s website is a nvidia 9600. That video card is several years old and was the cheaper variant of the 9000 series. I’m not surprised the 520 hd meets, and likely exceeds, its performance.

Some places give bigger exp boosts for resting there so you may want to save your points til you can get there.

I second this. I love that type of game but just fizzled out on PoE. Nevertheless I am excited for Torment and want to try Tyranny now.

Honestly, I only first saw it used not all that long ago, and don’t think I’ve ever heard it spoken, but I have seen it occasionally since (perhaps I just glossed over it before without knowing what it meant).

I’m assuming you aren’t surprised at the concept of loanwords in general, or other arbitrary uses of foreign words and expressions in English (I just spent all yesterday making RSVP cards), but rather the specific use of this word. While probably not very common, it is indeed used in English. I’d liken it to an

I’m sure someone knows the real answer, but from clicking around vgchartz it almost looks like a game will often sell 40-50% of all the copies it will ever sell in 10 weeks. Skyrim on PC has 3.86 M sales, and had 1.8M 10 weeks after release. In 2011.

Yah, there must be something else there I don’t understand. The day my conpany misses payroll I’m looking for a new job full time. Do German employment contracts trap you somehow? I have to think maybe they are looking, but not ruling out squeezing out another paycheck.

I think W3 has a reasonable number of likable characters, especially compared to past games and books (all of geralt’s friends, Ciri, your fellow witchers, and a fair number of people you meet throughout). It’s whole thing, books and games, have always been moral grayness, and some of the major first story quests

Make sure to turn on the alternate control-whatever in the options. It’s an innocuous looking option somewhere in there but it basically takes away geralt’s momentum makes him control more like you expect. The out-of-combat controls were a major criticism until they patched in that fix.

Everytime you kill a contract monster you automatically take its trophy. The trophies of different monsters give different minor bonuses, and it’s equipped on your inventory screen.

It’s just like watching any event, from chess to sprinting to curling to jousting. You have to understand the rules, you have to understand the not-rules (conventions, terminology) and be able to connect to the experience personally.

This was pretty obviously a joke.

One of the primary subjects of the pulitzer prize winning Washington Post piece on this was a mom. It’s almost entirely a function of disrupting a routine while tired. That’ll tend to be men in a “classic” household setting, but by and large it transcends gender, race, social status, and wealth.

A fully 3D environment rendered in realtime isn’t even comparable in complexity to pre-rendered backgrounds with sprites or 3D models running around. On top of that, how many hours have you played your most-played ff? Hundreds? Thousands? If you had discovered a glitch in ffvii in 1999 how involved would the sharing

It’s not a consumer good made for the public.

So everybody realizes that you don’t HAVE to shoot the doctors, right? If you did that, that’s on you! Edit: Oh I guess Joel kills one no matter what? I forget.

That’s how I saw the scene too. Bet you the Fireflies killed Joel for payback (maybe razed the village), she’s out for revenge, and at some point she discovers the truth.
