I have friends in Canada (Nova Scotia), and when we offered to take them target shooting when they were visiting, they were shocked at the gun laws here though they own lots of guns. I then learned something Americans don’t usually know about Canadian gun laws... they can’t keep guns in their house, and they have to

My son was damn near beaten to death by a girlfriend about 10 years ago, because he wouldn’t hit her back even then. He’s a big guy and a weightlifter, so he could have killed her in self defense, but I raised him to never, ever raise his hands to a woman.

Five of them died. We could look at it like they were just broken, self-destructive people - which is Dr Drew’s argument in his own defense - but then we also have to view them as highly vulnerable to exploitation (which does nothing to clear Dr Drew).

Dumb because we poor ignorant hillbillies solved the problem ourselves?

It was national news for days, covered by every major media outlet in print and in television, whether you knew about it or not. We cleaned up the river and criminally charged company executives. We didn’t need her drunk ass then, and we never will.

You’re kidding, right? We didn’t need her to bring attention to it, because it was national news. We needed people who knew how to solve the problem (and there are plenty of those people already in this state), and her calling press conferences before she even knew what was going on is not solving anything, except her

She’s an attention whore because she goes to places like Flint (and West Virginia) and, instead of working behind the scenes to actually effectuate real change, she uses it as an excuse to draw media attention to herself.

Erin Brokovich just showed up here in West Virginia, after the massive chemical leak into the river.

I personally think it’s in her head, based only upon seeing the show.

We had to trade multiple Taliban to get this deserter back. There's no way the President would ever pardon him.

I seriously doubt it. There are far too many people, active duty and veterans alike, who are outraged by the prior recommendation. So this court martial was inevitable.

Do I believe the Pentagon, or do I believe the soldiers whose friends died beside them during those search missions? Decisions, decisions...

The right to public access in an Article 32 proceeding is not absolute. A gag order or an order closing the proceedings could be entered on the basis of national security.

I’ve owned two Bissell stream cleaners, and both broke after just a couple of uses despite the fact that I only have one carpeted room. Pure plastic crap, I'll never waste my money on another one.

Sure, she has First Amendment rights but those rights do not trump the legal responsibility she sought and accepted, to fulfill the duties of her elected position. It’s comparing apples and oranges.

He should have left out that particular detail, no matter what she demanded. If she gives him hell about it now then it’s a hell of his own making, no matter how I look at it.

Put aside for a moment that he slept with his mistress on his wife’s birthday, right after sleeping with his wife. The fact that he would give his wife that much detail about the affair was intentionally hurtful, since that detail serves no useful purpose.

I used to take my son to play in Pokemon tournaments, when he was a kid in the 90s. I’m very surprised that it’s still popular, but I’m not at all surprised that a couple of people in attendance are seriously off in the head.

This may be a dumb question (hey, I’m old), but how the hell should I pronounce Deadmau5 (in my mind when reading about this baby-man’s latest whine-fest)?

Two things:
