I hate it when victims of prolonged abuse don’t act entirely rationally.

Why are victims entitled to money? Is the entire civil legal system a mystery to you?  Monetary payment for harm is basically how it works.

Stockholm Syndrome, more or less.

I read a review like this as a symptom of the notion that the primary purpose... the mandate... of fiction is “woke” sermonizing (that’s hard not to view as virtual-signalling) with honest storytelling being secondary.

There’s some grim satisfaction in seeing a well-to-do white man, as secure in his position as he is in his skin, being played by a couple of cops just looking for an excuse.”

I’m sorry, but this is fucking terrifying. If you get ‘pleasure’ out of police brutality because it’s aimed as a white person/upper class

Let us not forget Captain Fuller from 21 Jump Street

Yeah, but it’s clear that he’s not the guy with the milky eye that we’re looking for, since Steven Williams shows up at Amelia’s reading.

I think Roland West, like Tom, is definitely a closeted homosexual.

So Roland West and Tom Purcell were definitely bumping uglies, yes?

I’ve had a wild theory for awhile and last night’s episode cements it: I suspect Detective West is a closeted gay man, and developed a relationship with Tom Purcell during the investigation in 1980. There was something in the way the camera lingered on West watching Tom sleep, and the close connection they seemed to

Was it in response to nobody commenting?  If so, hi Lin-Manuel Miranda!  Everyone loves you here just like they do everywhere else, don’t worry.

I used to be his neighbor. He kinda is.

Sometimes I feel like we don’t deserve Lin-Manuel Miranda. He’s too good a person to be real life.

I don’t think you know what a double negative is:

Hey, Neil Gorsuch got confirmed without this bullshit.

An MMF arrangement? I hear that’s some drinking game.

Just to counterbalance some of the super long comments about why the show sucked:

I liked it. I figured Amma was the killer a couple of episodes in. Liked it anyway. That’s it.

Heavenly Creatures is an excellent analogy. Now that I think of it, the two stories really do have much in common.

The Rupture.

What does his girlfriend have to say about it?  Just kidding.
