Victorian society was a game of Shoots and Ladders

I was a little underwhelmed by the movie, maybe because everyone kept talking it up like the Greatest Movie Ever - I thought it was good, but not my favorite superhero movie by a long shot. Maybe if I’d read the comics I would’ve had more of a connection?

They’re stuck in flying metal tubes for hours and have to deal with close contact with the public. Just let them wear polos, for heaven’s sake.

Why, yes. Yes I did.

Reminds me of when I was in college and some dude wrote a letter to the editor asking all female students to stop wearing cross-body messenger bags because it emphasized their breasts too much and made him think Impure Thoughts.

We had Where in Time on the home computer and I spent far more time than I probably should have playing with the coffee machine in the break room.

I don’t care how old I am, I’m not giving up chocolate milk. I will be 98 years old in a nursing home demanding my chocolate milk, because that stuff is awesome and I don’t care.

We had SO MANY clapping games when I was in elementary school but I don’t know any of these - part of the songs for Sailor Went to Sea and Down Down Baby are familiar, but a lot of them aren’t, and the motions aren’t anything I’ve seen before. I love seeing all the variations on these things.

“Please don’t censor any games nor appeal to the SocJus crowd, you guys are doing fine as is,” to which Brock replied, “Thanks! We’ll try to stay that way.”

During the summer between high school and college I worked ~60-hour weeks at a local movie theater to save up some money. The company had a “featured artist” playlist where they had two Dave Matthews Band songs and two Jewel songs, over and over and over and over. It was supposed to change every month, but they

I’m going to cross-stitch that quote and put it on my wall.

How about we just get rid of the “men’s sports” and “women’s sports” divisions entirely...

Speaking as someone who has been playing PokeGo since it started, and Ingress before that? There are lots of stops and gyms on private property. All you need is for someone to submit it and someone else to approve it, they don’t check property records.

From what I’ve noticed, not nearly as much, and crowds usually only congregate when there’s a raid going on. But if there’s a gym with semi-frequent raids on private property, I can imagine the owners would still be getting annoyed.

When the game first came out, a local library had 4 or 5 Pokestops, and the place basically turned into a festival. Most of the front lawn was occupied by people with pop-up canopies and chairs, with hammocks stretched between some of the trees, and the crowds persisted for the entire time they were legally allowed to

Hoo boy do I hear you on that one. My parents always seemed to find it hilarious when I was excited or upset over anything. And now they wonder why I don’t call or visit....

Not making fun of people’s laugh. I’ve literally seen the joy leave a person’s face after making a joke about someone’s laugh. Makes me sad thinking about it.

I was mostly ignored by the restaurant until I threatened to file a police report, at which point they gave me an insincere apology and a $25 gift card to make me go away. So basically, nobody cared in my case except me. :/

Wouldn’t you like a side of sexual harassment with your germ transmission?

That’s what I thought, but apparently Chase doesn’t agree. If I agreed to enter into the transaction then they won’t get involved, even if the other party changes the terms on me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
