No, which is unfortunate because she was so, so awesome on that show.

To me, the end all be all clip was from the 2008 election when it came out that Bristol Palin was pregnant and Samantha Bee went to the RNC and got people to talk about how great it was that Bristol had “chosen” to keep the baby and they all got hung up on the word choice. So, so perfect.

I’m pretty sure she was on Flight of the Conchords before that. That’s when I first became aware of her.

Excellent. I hope she stays for a bit and then TAKES OVER COMEDY.

Staying.

Also worth noting that there are a ton of brilliant and hard working women behind the scenes there— writers, producers, etc.

What’s Jessica Williams’ next move? Is she staying with The Daily Show or moving on?

It makes me think of the movie “Made in Dagenham”, about the women at an automotive factory who went on strike (ultimately leading to the institution of equal pay in Britain), and the main character is having a fight with her husband, who works at the same factory. He talks about how he’s such a good husband: he

Yeah, that’s been my experience as well (hell, my MIL was super impressed because my husband was there for my C-section, while I was the one actually BEING OPERATED ON). It just irritates me, not because I don’t think he’s a good father, but because they’ve never called me a good mother, or even said anything positive

My husband’s company offers 4 or 6 weeks of paid paternity leave (I can’t remember which), but he said that most of the men in his office only take part of it, usually 2-3 weeks. I told him that when we have a child, he will absolutely take every single day available to him even if he feels like it’ll be too hard to

A lot of my husband’s older relatives comment on how wonderful and amazing it is that he is so involved with our kids because their dads were never involved with them. I find myself struggling. Not because I don’t want to give my husband credit for what he does do because he is a great dad and husband, but I don’t

I went for the full google treatment on Tara. I admit it. If it wasn’t for linguistic forensics I’d send a fan note. Seriously though...ALL IMAGES ARE AMAZING. Off to read. Thank you.

He has binders of women’s health!

Jeb: Women — Can’t live with them, can’t repeal their right to vote.

Bernie got into it on Twitter too! He thinks we actually need “a heck of a lot more than $3 per woman.” :D

“Misspeaking” appears to be a Bush family trait.

“I was referring to the hard-to-fathom $500 million in federal funding that goes to Planned Parenthood – an organization that was callously participating in the unthinkable practice of selling fetal organs.”

She is cute as a button.

I wish you hadn’t said that. Now I have serious sadz that I will not have the opportunity to see Tituss Burgess as the cowardly lion. Perhaps he can stage his own. ;)

I’m sure David Alan Grier will do fine but I had my heart set on Tituss Burgess. I wonder if he was ever in consideration? I’d love to see notes from the casting meeting for all the roles. I’m glad Dorothy is going to an 18 year old. It was really hard clinging to the illusion with Diana Ross. Or Olivia Newton John
