Actually me it’s really helpful - I have an eclectic, non-linear resume so the statement is really helpful in letting me construct the narrative I want employers to focus on.

And OJ. The Enquirer actually broke a lot of OJ news too.

Seems to be available only on the ATC site and there’s a fancy new “updated” version called The New Family Cookbook. Does anyone know how the new one compares to the old?

I really like the book, and it has a lot of useful, well presented info. Some of the recipes are def. not beginner level though. And yes, mine is falling apart too - wish binding were better.

1) very helpful - thanks.

I’m getting ready to make the switch to Lightroom. Toying with and reading about different file/folder organization methods. Any advice?

Harsh. Maybe your friend was just ignorant. Or broke. Assuming this was an ordinary BBQ vs. a potluck for wine-lovers, if you were the host you should have appreciated the gesture of your friend bringing something to your party to which he, as an invited guest whom you’d voluntarily offered to entertain, was compelled

Went to a party at the LA Madam Tussaud’s and was surprised how totally fabulous it was! Am jaded entertainment industry pro, but loved it.

The Mary Tyler Moore Show Pilot. You’re welcome.

Of course you can, but it is still more work, and depending on the ingredients, you’ll likely have extra no matter what - and it may be fresh and need to be used quickly. But using for meal discovery is certainly an plus. I have all my Blue Apron ingredient cards.

Starch is not the enemy! A classic Italian cooking trick is to scoop up a mug of the starchy cooking water just before draining the pasta. Add sauce to the pasta, heat it and mix it and add some of the starchy water (small amount) to the mix - it helps the sauce adhere to the pasta. Also finishing with some olive oil

Instead of water, which will change the temperature of your pasta, use your sauce (heated) or olive oil or butter to de-stick. but that starch will help your sauce adhere to the pasta, so don’t wash it away.

Alan - I can’t find this in Postbox’s documentation. Are “Favorite Topics” a designation confined to the app? If I want to use Postbox on desktop + on Mailbox on IOS, what’s the best way to file something for finding later across devices? For example, in Mailbox I have a “List” “Events/Details” where I put emails that

Looks like I’ll be going back to Postbox now. I’ve been using Mailbox’s beta, but lack of features and total lack of communication about development is starting to drive me nuts.

Yes! The key is to communicate, it doesn’t have to be pretty. Had a project in Peru last year, and my Spanish is 50% broken Italian, but I dove in head first and my attempts were appreciated! Was shocked and appalled by US colleague who didn’t even learn how to ask for the bill in Spanish.

One reason why? Venue. Jezebel often publishes sincerely angry screeds that unwittingly border on self-parody. A sincere version of this article is far more in keeping with your standard offerings than is satire and parody.

Didn’t land.

And make sure your gate is a actually a gate.... recently was stunned when “gate” at LAX turned out to be an escalator to the tarmac where I needed to take a shuttle to the plane. Had never experienced before. I had some wiggle room, but not much.

Angeleno here too! What you want is called a Casement Air conditioner. There are only 2 that run at 12K BTUs, the one below, which I bought and a Sears Kenmore. The one below I use in an upstairs room that’s like a greenhouse - major sun exposure, and no doors. It does okay. I suspect that in a normal room it would be
