This year I actually used Yelp twice to find a doctor. The first time, while I agreed with the virtues listed, I ended up not loving the Dr. But the second time I feel like I totally scored. More and more people are writing reviews of the Drs. And reviews also contain useful info about how well run the office is.

Yes! I keep thinking it's something I'll use all the time and I just don't.

1) A gratitude list can help. Write down 5 things that day, or in your life that you're grateful for. And go one step further, journal a little bit about one item on your list in particular- it'll force you to reexperience a positive memory.

Totally agree - work from the outside in, fake it till you make it.

I've been doing this a lot lately and it's very satisfying. Am throwing away less food and shopping more as I need. Highly recommend.

I like this one from MacNally - I have a bunch. drive is super secure, I like that it has an off-switch. About $28 from Newegg. Yes you can go cheaper, but also the presence of a firewire out was helpful... of course now Mac's gotten rid of those ports.

Can you elaborate - no idea what IFTT is.

I use this and like it! Could never get Doubletwist to work properly.

On Weds I got a super important freelance assignment from a new client due today, Friday, and as soon as I came home from my meeting, I felt myself getting sick and was running a fever of 100. Really didn't want to ask for an extension under the circumstances, so in addition to vitamin C etc., I really prioritized

Or take dance classes! I've been taking take a Jazz level 1 class every week for years. At first I totally sucked, but slowly I've gotten better.. It's a great workout, and since it's a scheduled class have to be there at a certain time, vs. just trying to get myself to the gym whenever. Once took a great cardio

Agreed.

OneReceipt looks cool, but not sure I like them having all my info... No love for Shoeboxed? I keep thinking I should sign up for them. Still trying to come up with the perfect system... friend just mentioned going through bank statement once a month and attaching relevant receipts, trashing the rest. As someone

Flatbed is a good idea... or maybe just take a photo, depending...

I love my Nokia 905i though I paid half of what Amazon is now asking for them - wireless w/bluetooth + noise cancellation equals heaven. At same time I also bought a pair of Sennheiser mm450s to compare. Quality in both was nearly identical, so I kept the Nokias which were then much cheaper - now price seems to have

http://youtu.be/ Post refers to work by Amy Cuddy - just watched her Ted Talk on this subject; it's excellent:

The above graphic comes from Charles Duhigg's book "The Power Of Habit" - I read the whole thing this year and highly recommend it.

Wow - gorgeous! Generally I avoid To-Do apps that require to go on the web since web distractions are so, well, distracting... however this is so clean it's the first one to ever tempt me.

Naps: I understand that for a nap to be most effective, you need to not enter deeper sleep and the ideal time is about 20 minutes... my question is this - how do I factor in the time it takes me to fall asleep into my Napping? If I want to nap for 20 min, and it takes me 15 to sleep do I add them, or is it just a
