Yeah, that’s what people were more upset about. The reversible connector thing was cool though.

Eh, they kinda did already with Lightning and Type-C. “Kinda” because they’re actually on the team developing USB Type-C and Lighting is more of a byproduct of that than a duplication. It’s just far easier to introduce a new proprietary connector than a new standard.

I don’t recall people crapping on anything other than Apple’s insistence on proprietary cables and charging like $30 for a simple adapter.

Oh, I didn’t think you were complaining. I just found it an interesting question to expand on a little.

Sheriffs practically ran their towns at the time. They were treated almost as royalty. As were Marshals who didn’t have the limited jurisdiction of a Sheriff. So from that one aspect of the position, if you shrink the kingdom down to something like a small frontier town, the sheriff role isn’t that crazy as a relative

Weird. I brought the 7th gen Civic I was driving back in college to a dealership to have a headlight and fender repaired and they were amazed that I had one manufactured in Japan. Apparently those weren’t as common.

No masterpiece is complete without it.

True. That was just the quickest, cheapest thing I could find.

Fixed.

Nah, humans have been settling in places they probably shouldn’t for ages now. Sure, it’s unfortunate fewer preventative measures were taken but ‘hindsight is 20/20’ and all.

Holy shit you weren’t kidding. Don’t wade into the greys, people.

Yeah, about that... I just caught up on your comment history in this article. I should’ve simply ignored you like any other troll instead of trying to explain a rather complex subject to someone who would rather sit back and make a bunch of narrow minded two-sentence hot takes.

Well hey, easy replies are easy, right? It isn’t as simple a subject as you make it out to be.

I didn’t read anything about exclusivity. Just that it bends.

It says “+ BAD MOTHERFVCKER +”

Or maybe...just maybe the problem is what is needed to actually enact change isn’t just simple boring, occasionally painful protest anymore. That’s been done to death (sometimes literally). It’s constantly met with and summarily dismissed via demonization by those in charge or broken up by the occasional heavily armed

I used to think the same. That there was simply no way that ass-backwards mindset could flourish in the future. But over the years I’ve seen more and more pockets of our generation who fall right in line parroting the rhetoric of that older group. It’s not just the stuffy old white guys. It’s their brainwashed kids

Very well put.

Cultures are kind of all about reinforcing “norms” though.
