Props for naming Silent Hill 3. An often underrated but one of my favorite games of all time.

QUOTE | "The majority of those users probably wouldn't have bought the game anyway. So it's not like we're losing revenue... It's essentially free marketing." - Monument Valley producer Dan Gray, talking about the fact that 95% of the Android copies of Monument Valley are pirated.

I'll treat this just like so much of the rest of Destiny's lore.

Part of the problem is that the whole, "Don't like it? Speak with your wallet and don't buy the game." idea only adds to the cycle too. Because the blame invariably gets shifted away from the bugs.

Welcome, duder!

This shows a number of things:

I've got nothing here in New Orleans, Louisiana. Can't sign in at all.

I'm all for change but think of the Spartans like RoboCop. They don't really need sights. Their visor's reticle is linked to the weapon.

What's wrong with Strudel's assessment that Notch got very VERY lucky? If he merely "earned" it with the amount of work/creativity/innovation/whatever that went into Minecraft, there should be a hell of a lot more billionaires hanging around.

That's partially because most billionaires spend a lifetime of very hard work earning their fortune.

Semi agreed. I don't necessarily think they're morons. It's just yet another questionable, overly alarmist response to a hot social issue. It just comes off as feigned...or misdirected, at best.

"Free"

It reads more to me as though they meant to reject it for the same ridiculous puritanical rules they've had since day one, they got wind of the bad press, and they were forced to change their tune to save face.

This video is probably one of the best commercials for GTA I've seen yet. It's pretty impressive how far video games have come.

I like how Microsoft went from a machine that actively killed itself over time to one that can survive beatings that could critically injure humans.

All that bullshit "branding" marketing speak is great and all but the name of the brand is ASSASSIN'S Creed.

Pretty sure that warrants a death sentence in Abu Dhabi.

I don't know that "Nobody gives a shit in the real world," but to play devil's advocate a bit, I'm firmly within this apparently unreal little bubble of ours and even my care is waning with the direction this whole fiasco is going.

I wish I had my old textbooks. I spent a significant portion of my high school career doodling in them. The day I discovered I could erase parts of images was a game changer. I don't know if print technology has ruined that for kids these days. If so, there's always whiteout.
