The Fallen don't spawn in this cave. Just hive. You get the ghosts from them elsewhere.
I guess you'll have to go back to all those other amazing, massive, content-rich, less-than-AAA games with years of replay value.
Notch also (ironically, given recent developments) swore Windows 8 was the death knell of PC gaming...so you'll have to forgive me if I don't generally take his insight as gospel.
As others have mentioned, it totally depends on the purpose.
As another graphic designer(ish...I have a day job), your last remark is the biggest issue in my book. Up until this point, Corsair's logo was one of the few that wasn't terrible. Now they just look like another dudebro xXxTrEmE gaming brand, continuing this annoying trend that should've died out years ago.
Neat. That one friend of mine who refuses to consider anything other than a Droid despite better options available will be thrilled.
What's an appropriate reaction, then, if not pointing out how bad or at least questionable the logo is?
I'm not. I want big developers with 'big' cash and teams to focus on making "colossal, summer blockbuster-type products." Not quick, cheap, short-lived, indie-style cash grabs. That's a terrible thing. Let the smaller devs handle that.
Gawker sites get a lot wrong on a fairly regular basis but one thing they have a distinct knack for (especially here on Deadspin) is the occasional purposefully absurd headline.
Maybe she's from Onechanbara where it's apparently no big deal to be ridiculously "fanservicey." Considering I certainly don't see this response to the article about their booth.
The thing I don't get about this sudden epiphany of cynicism everyone is having is what the hell are you comparing this game to?
I dunno about best, but I really enjoyed it. Definitely top 3 for me.
Nah, man it's gotta be online. It's built into the core of the game.
It's a lot different than a BMW, as others have pointed out, but I'd have a hard time respecting someone who plunks down $13k on a gold plated $400 console. I mean we're all free to do as we please with our money, as long as it isn't directly negatively effecting someone else. But I certainly wouldn't be able to…
I was way into CS when I was younger. Basically obsessed with it. But I never took it beyond two or three tournaments at local LAN parties where I did pretty well but never felt like I could possibly hang with the top tier players.
You mean while you (The "royal" you, that is. Not you specifically. I don't really know who you are.) were here posting article after long-winded positively glowing article about every little crumb Apple dropped.
Just think, less than a year ago Notch was ranting about how terrible Windows 8 was for games and gamers and by extension how horrible Microsoft was for foisting it onto the general public.
I was using that excuse too to convince myself that it's not that bad.
The problem is some people today need to see everything. They need everything spelled out or they bitch and moan about it.
