I love the 240z, it’s a shame they seem to exist in two states now: Fully Restored and Basket Case - I want a driver!

Pretty much. A bridge nearby here was recently discovered (I believe by someone painting) to have at least one support which basically ended at the water line, the rest of it gone to corrosion. I’ve not driven that way in a while, but they claimed the were going to fix it asap...
I hope not hourly!
Having had the interesting experince of riding in a car new enough to have seated seats but also with broken heat in January, a blanket and the heated seats (staying on all the time) are about all that kept me from losing some limbs I think.
Are these chain or gear timed? Is it possible the cam jumped a tooth or two and, while it looks okay spinning with the head off, it’s off enough that it won’t run?
Quite a while. This would be pure gasoline, the blending in of stuff to dilute it (which is also what makes it go bad so fast anymore) such as ethanol and butane doesn’t happen until it’s on the way to the tanks that load the trucks that go to the pumps.
Heck, I’d be happy with a wheel nut.
So... how do I bid? Surely some sort of small part will go for a reasonable price and be cool to have. (Or is it literally one auction for all their assets?)
I happened to be on my computer when you were doing this, and watching things unfold was probably the highlight of my day.
So... it has transbrake based launch control?
This is correct

62 Austin-Healey Sprite. Truly delightful
My friend’s R56 blew the engine at 22k miles with no warning. Some research says low mileage catastrophic engine failure is common.
My chevelle has this. I’m terrified of the day it breaks and I have to find out what a replacement costs.
Looks squished a bit, length-wise
This is a good friend of mine (same guy that autocrossed that Olds 88 that was on here a while ago) - pretty much everyone in the friend-group has spent some time wrenching on this, and it’s actually coming along pretty well. Smokes a lot less (but still a lot) these days.
Already feels like it
I have the not-low-profile one. I don’t think the “3-ton” label is the rating...
And here I thought it was just a good way to get the taste out of your mouth after siphoning out a radiator!
