So, I haven’t read the books or seen the older movies/series but I watched the trailer and have no idea what this movie is about other than some guy that dreams the future, fights, and plays in some sand.

The best part is that the “turbo” button makes it run slower!
Know what I like the most about it? It’s a single cab.
But the white steering wheel. No thanks. I’ve seen what the rag looks like after cleaning a dark-colored wheel...
I know where it isn’t - Ohio. Flat, straight roads, cops every half mile on every road, potholes the size of a small truck, and road salt encrusting everything 6 months out of the year. If it weren’t for work and proximity to friends/family I’d be long out of here in search of the “sun” I’ve heard about.
I like gravel/dirt roads
A guy started where I work and was so pleased with himself after 4 or 5 weeks that he didn’t use GPS to get to work that morning. He lives less than two miles away.
I can offer you $500 and a broken crown vic
I badly want this
A friend of mine has a Clarity (the hybrid flavor) and I’ve sat in a DS. I’ll take the DS, no comparison.
You can drive a crown vic through 6 or so inches of standing water (width of the road, 15-20ft long) at 35mph and it doesn’t mind...
The Puddle Depth/Fun curve takes a sharp downward turn just past the point that depth = car’s ground clearance but I generally agree that puddles are great fun.
I just want a new single cab truck from Toyota as shown in the patent drawing.
I don’t share in the nostalgia for them, but pre-2010 is uncommon traffic around here, having long returned to the earth in oxide form.
Or if you (rounding the math) do 50mph for 12 hours a day you’re at the million in 5 years, and 50mph for 12h/day is possible (although it sounds awful). If we move up to 75 we can do 8 hour days, which is also possible and slightly less torture.
Lighten up, the software guys have nothing to do with that stuff anyway, so let them have some fun now and then.
False advertising, I have Pole Position for my atari and not once has it left skidmarks on my soul. I think.
Thief sees big engine with shiny parts in truck, doesn’t know it’s internet-famous or blown up, comes back at night and steals it. If they try to run it before stripping it, expect to find it abandoned somewhere with easy parts missing (carb, headers, electrics, wheels, etc.)
Yeah I clicked on this thinking it was going to be the same width tires, same overall heights, just different wheel size/profile.
I’ve driven my friend’s early FR-S and the torque curve was kind of a bummer, it feels like it wants you to wind it out but then there’s hardly a reward to do so until you’re absurdly high in the revs. That ‘dip’ is right where it feels like it should be coming into the power band. Might try to drive a newer one to…
