How very eloquently put, Justin.

You lost all credibility the moment you compared its luxury to the X7.
Eat shit. Production design introduced in 2009.
To be fair, back then everybody was just sticking a dozen individual LEDs around each light instead of sculpting a design with light tubes. That approach looked as terrible on the Audis as it did everywhere else.
Audi had inherited that market looong ago. Where have you been?
New buyers... Ask yourselves...
I gotta say, I kinda liked the yellowy bloom lighting of the original DeS. This looks way too bright and white/blue.
I have mixed feelings about these. They all look better on a technical level, but some look too bright. Some of the gloom is missing. Also, not sure about some of the demon changes.
I don’t like how bright and shinny it is. They did the same with SotC and even if it does look very good, it change the tone of the atmosphere.
Hey, if Jason can do a post about whether or not Stewart Little’s car was real we can certainly read about the insipid UK 20-somethings that like 500's.
I disagree wholeheartedly without reservation on number 3. It’s harder to have more fun in a new car for under 25k. If you don’t enjoy an Abarth you have no soul and no capacity for fun.
“most of the electric cars currently on the market are more expensive than the average new-car transaction price”
No, I think he means it’s big out there. A 125 mile range, when the vehicle is new, and the ambient temperature is favorable, isn’t going to cut it.
It’s not very good-looking, it’s not that cheap, and when I took one for a drive, it wasn’t very nice.
He said good-looking.
There are too many hurdles right now. Electric cars are too expensive, too novel and require too many changes to existing routines to achieve wide-scale adoption.
I’m not convinced about the whole EV revolution, and I am clearly not alone. If you want one and can make it work for you, wonderful. However, there are such enormous hurdles at this point, despite what the enthusiasts claim, that they just aren’t appropriate for a large segment, probably even a majority, of the…
Step one is to stop conflating EV with self-driving.
It’s like a Lincoln Mark V and a Delorean had a baby and gave it to Space Elvis to raise. I love looking at it and would probably hate to do anything else with it. I had no idea England got such good drugs back then.
i can imagine. very low, very heavy. like trying to slide a manhole cover across a shag rug.
