Amy’s vignettes of sexism and Jake suddenly understanding them in a new way, was one of my favorite parts.

I cackled out loud at Boyle’s delivery while saying how he has slept with MANY senior citizens

This episode brought a new depth to the Any/Holt relationship for me too. Her early season obsession with his approval makes more sense after a mentor betrayed her. He’s not just as straitlaced as she is, he’s also safe for her cause he’s gay, so Amy can trust his approval doesn’t have an ulterior motive.

Great episode, but my favourite part was the lento drum roll.

It’s purely functional.

For an episode that spends so much time on imperceptible eroticism, it also features Rosa firing a flaming arrow, which is extremely hot.

This episode was the funniest of the season so far. Reminiscent of some of the best Wuntch episodes.

Nothing - not even lazy writing - can dim Don Cheadle’s brilliance.

Also, the show was about 50% more entertaining if you just pretended he was doing a (killer) Tim Meadows impression for the entirety of the show.

He’s also a fucking terrible author. I paused the shot of his novel and it is hilariously bad.

He’s right out of a comic book, the show needs more over the top characters like him. I’m also tickled by the fact that he’s actually a used car salesman because when I first saw him in promotional photos “used car salesman” was definitely the vibe he was giving off

I still cannot believe that they got Wallace Shawn for the interrogator. He was great. He looked like the f society mask. The tea kettle was a perfect touch.

This is ABC. This show is a quirky comedy with a die hard, but small fan base. It will barely get renewed for a second season then ABC will move it to an inappropriate night or time and stop giving it any promotion. It will end after season two, probably after another cliffhanger. I cite the cases of Better Off…

I wonder if they tried to get Jon Hamm but couldn't. And if that's the case, why not just change the character's name to Jean Stamos?
