Serena Joy is a punisher. I don’t think they give us enough backstory to know if she was like this in the past but her behavior reminds me of my awful, older female coworkers who I wish would support me but instead treats me like crap because “I make her feel irrelevant”.

June and Nick have been into each other in front of Serena multiple times this season and Serena did not like it. I think Serena mentioned Nick caring about Offred to her husband at lunch to purposefully piss him off and get him to do something about Nick. In addition, I think she said Nick looked handsome to hurt

In the book you could only have a wife if you were high enough in status. The drivers were too low in status to get wives. In this season, the wives they received were in essence “a promotion” or an increase in status.

Remember how Amy had 100 brothers?

When I found out my dog had cancer, I was inconsolable. I instinctually started re-watching New Girl. The cast and the writing helped me stay strong through his last few months. TV is powerful, and New Girl was the right amount of everything a person needs at the end of a rough day. I will miss this show very much and

I cried more than I feel comfortable sharing.

Ward was so perfect in that Deathlok role I have to think they wrote it for him but he turned it down.

SHE LOOKED COLD!!!!!

I like how much fun they look like they’re having. It may not make me laugh, but it brings me joy.

It’s a good joke.

If Nathaniel no longer was an owner of the company, he wouldn’t stay at the company. He was sent by his father’s company to oversee the place so there’s no indication he even gets a salary through the law firm. I LOVE this show, but forced plotting bothers me.

If there is EVER a mystery character on this show, I like to shout “it’s Ward”! The less it makes sense, the louder I shout it.

That explanation would only make sense if Natalie Portman had made the condition at the beginning of the season... 2 years ago.

We agree they were lip-syncing, yes?

What I like to do is rate the episode in my mind and then I know what Dennis Perkin’s grade will be. If I think it’s an A or B, he’ll give it a C. If I think it’s a C, he gives it a B or A. In this time of Trumpian chaos, I find peace in the knowledge that 100% of the time, I will have a different opinion than Dennis

I’ll be sad when this inevitably gets cancelled. It’s the only show on tv right now (that I watch) where I’m guaranteed to laugh out loud.

Sometimes it hurts more when someone tries really hard the wrong way. Because you feel bad for feeling bad.

Jason doesn’t know the word perhaps. I don’t think it’s him.

So I’m not sure how much the audiences overlap, but the writing is identical to Gossip Girl.

I don’t think we’d be as frustrated by the pacing if the writing was better. Spending a season developing characters is awesome, it’s just 8 episodes into this show and all characters function solely as plot devices or drama factories.
