I don’t know...while that control scheme was conceptually interesting in its distinguishment between high and low profile actions, in practice it was a recipe for finger cramps, as you were CONSTANTLY holding the trigger and run buttons together to sprint at top speed.  It didn't work well for extended play sessions.

Seconded.

What context is there for encouraging a person you purport to love for weeks on end to kill themselves that makes that behavior the least bit tolerable?

This is great and all, but I want to hear about the other prehistoric fauna you’ll be encountering.

I think what it was was the fact that it was the first true... open world... AC game. I mean, the first two were open world, but with Brotherhood, you stay in the same map for most of the game (opening and a couple of side missions excepted).

With the first to, you keep getting shuttled around from (relatively) small

Those controllers were terrible.

I’d like to see them design VR controllers that can be adapted to a wide variety of games.

It comes with a third shoe that is shaped for neither a right nor a left foot. Nike intends for Sneakerheads to place the third shoe on display.

If it was true homage to the N64, they should have shaped it to accommodate 3 toes and you can try to figure out where to put the other two.

I seem to remember it used to have more music coverage. I’m not really sure that’s the AV Club’s fault, though, rather than a huge change in how we share information about music.

I definitely miss Our Dumb Century, though.

I see your pop culture meme and I’ll raise you with another

You probably don’t need anyone to tell you this, Riley, but you shouldn’t feel bad about someone else’s personal experiences failing to resonate with you, especially when you put the effort in to open yourself to them. Sometimes your experiences won’t mesh well with their feelings, or at least how they express them,

How can you be mad at touch controls for games on devices whose primary input is touch?

Sad to say I’m still stuck on Sekiro. O’rin of the Water was my breaking point. I got sick of farming for divine confetti, and then sick of farming for mibu balloons of possession so that I could get more divine confetti faster. I’ll go back, but goddammit it really beat me down.

Yeah it sucks that he doesn’t get to enjoy all the dopey, endearing memes and fan projects and stuff made in appreciation of him. I remember he was always well-liked and got great fan mail, but he died not having any idea he would be this beloved, even by later generations. He’d be too humble to let it go to his head

had a vacation this week, so been digging through bloodstained. this did not help me with my backlog any, but dang, its not perfect, but its kind of perfect for me. love gothic horror settings, love castelvanias on the ds(and the nes, snes, genesis and any 2d one), really like goth girls in blue dresses who can kick a

I think the difficulty of Nioh depends on how well you keep your gear current. I found gear level was much more important for NG playthrough than character stats. Which is a change of pace from Fashion Souls.

Yeah I guess it doesn’t tread a ton of new ground but I thought the mechanics were a fantastic upgrade from previous Quantic Dream games, and the story was engaging enough to keep me entertained, for what that’s worth. I guess it comes down to whether or not one needs some massive self-important new statement to  be

Playing it right now because of PS Plus and can confirm this. Like all of Cage’s games, it feels like he has ideas for a couple cool set pieces and no idea how to connect them into a good story. And yes, his views on women/black people/any minority are not great. So far there are enough of those cool situations and

“I don’t even remember what Kirk’s problems were with it but they’re largely unfounded or at least not terribly relatable for most”
