I must say, I’m slightly insulted that you referred to yourself as a “fool” for planning on buying Mario Tennis Aces in order to play through the single player campaign, because I did exactly that as well. And I did not regret that purchase after beating the whole single player campaign. That game is super fun and

Fyi I’d definitely read all the episode reviews if someone wrote them!

On the other hand, having gotten used to playing full console games on a handheld with the Switch, I’ve been using my Vita much, much more than my 3DS since I beat Metroid Samus Returns, simply to stream PS4 games.  Of course not all games work well that way, but some work very well, like FFXII: The Zodiac Age.

I agree with most of what’s written here, but there are a couple of small thingns that bother me. First off, Ms. Gray’s critique of Sen. Harris belies the unnuanced shibboleth-demanding that this piece seems to think is not a bad thing among lefty pundits, with this quote:

Titanfall 2 had the best single-player campaign of any shooter in the last ten years, hands down.”

You’re exactly correct. It was an awful lot of work to arrange all these sea shanties for a five-piece band, but it turned out really well in the end. The songs seriously grew on me. In case you’re curious, some of my favorite selections from the show include “The Leaving of New Bedford”, “Strike the Bell”,

I haven’t posted on IGN in over 10 years I think.  Weird...

Don’t forget, there’s jet packs and wall running too!

Very interesting interesting tidbit. Like Heather Alexandra, Titanfall 2 was my favorite game that year, and I don’t even play multiplayer. I would Day One Purchase the shit out of Titanfall 3. Here’s hoping Apex Legends makes fat bank!

Interesting! VR is definitely an intriguing medium to tell this type of story.

No, it’s a new musical, called Ahab Triumphant. All the songs are old 19th century work songs and sea shanties, which apparently they sang in order to do certain things in collective rhythm on the boats. It is pretty interesting, but since the songs are all pretty short and not narrative (for the most part), there’s

Yeah, it’s limiting for sure. But I think if they had tried a control scheme where the player controlled when and in what direction Mario moved, the controls would not have been nearly as tight as they turned out to be. That’s what I was always skeptical about re: a Mario game on a phone, how they would keep the

Every time someone makes a blanket statement about anything, they are wrong. Except blanket statements about blanket statements.

This is a horrible comment and it should be left in the greys, but it does raise an interesting discussion, so I will respond:

Tomorrow I’m playing and conducting a new musical about young Herman Melville on a whaling ship. After that I will be rotating among Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, South Park the Fractured But Whole, New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe, Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom, and Dead Cells.

Well, three times as many people recommended my comment as did yours, so yes.  In any case, you’re welcome.  Glad I could help.

Me and Incineroar, birds of a feather.

It’s very obvious to reasonable people that he means that the choices the writers made immediately make sense to the viewer. But feel free to continue being a dick with your willful  ignorance if that’s what floats your boat.

Absolutely.  Super Mario Run seems to have a bit of a bad rap, and I don’t get it.  I thought the gameplay was brilliantly realised for a smartphone, and I really appreciated the one-time purchase.

Interesting, I didn’t know that was an option.  I shall do some research.  Thanks!
