Haven’t watched the video (don’t usually watch videos not made by Tim Rogers, but this is an interesting topic so I may later), so I’m just responding to the text excerpt. I half-agree with Heather here. I think that when you change the aesethetics of a game drastically in remaking it, it can change the tone -

Yeah, I was just trying to be magnanimous.

So are those changes good, or half-hearted and pretentious? I can’t tell.

Damn it Jason.  I don’t understand why you get to make all these big decisions for these huge studios.

Don’t get me wrong, I would freak out if they included games from those consoles in the service, even if they charged a higher premium for access to them. But I swear I just recently read some sort of report or rumor that said Nintendo had no intention of including N64 or Gamecube games, and that they were much more

Presumably, all those people have insurance. They’ll take some sort of a financial hit on raised premiums and nuisance costs, but it won’t be anywhere near what you cited for the people who own the cars or buildings.

Aren’t they more likely for Gameboy and GBA?

Unless there is information I’m missing, I think it’s more likely the stalker was a fan of the cosplayer and anime in general. That’s usually how these play out. A person is obsessed because they are a fan and they resort to violence because they are jealous of everyone else who gets to hang with the person with

That’s great that the obsessive stalker committed a crime and was arrested without hurting anyone!

Even though Ghost Houses were introduced in SMW in 1990, SMB3 had ghostly levels with Boo in them in 1988.

Thanks very much for all the tips! I’m gonna go back to it this weekend so I will definitely be referring back to your comment at that point. I’ll let you know if something turns out to be particularly helpful.

I gotta get back to XII on PS4. I played for about five hours and was really enjoying myself, but I experienced a severe difficulty spike and got intimidated. That was last summer I think.

How in the world is Chuck Schumer’s admitting that Democrats agree on the need for stronger border security? Only in the world of ultra-liberals, where any kind of compromise or capitulation is a total failure and abdication of duty, is that harmful. I agree with everything AOC said, and I don’t know enough to say

I think I’ve played this game more than any other NES game since the turn of the millenium.  Not sure why, but this seems to be the 8-bit game I enjoy re-experiencing more than any other.  Very pleased to have it on Switch.

Yeah, that’s why I didn’t end up getting through it, cause I didn’t want to sit in front of the TV to play it, and the GamePad’s screen was just not that pretty.  Hence my excitement for the Switch port.

C’mon, more fanfare about the other Nintendo port this week! I mean probably like 80% of Wii U owners had NSMBU, but there weren’t a lot of us to begin with.

Oh yeah, you might be right.  Still funny, if less scathing.

Ahh too bad. Love this column. Thanks all who made it happen! Here’s hoping whatever replaces it will be equally interesting.

Now that I’ve finished RDR2, I’ll be spending time with Forza Horizon 4 and South Park The Fractured But Whole, both of which I was gifted for Christmas. I’ll probably play more Celeste and Dead Cells as well, and I may go back to Dark Souls Remastered (on Switch).

Yeah that’s exactly what my concern would be.
