What was the first one?

Whether or not FF VII and FF VII HD Remastered are the same game or not is a matter of semantics, and I don’t particularly care one way or the other. It would still be a version of FF VII, and myself and a great many other people would be very interested in playing that.

I’ve been very fond of the man’s work since around the turn of the century. I saw him live twice, and enjoyed his screen performances immensely, particularly in Heist. He gave the most Mamet-esque performance in the most Mamet-y of Mamet projects.  He stood out among actors tailor-made for Mamet’s characters,

I know it’s from 1997, I bought a non-Nintendo console for the first time in 1997 in order to play it. And I disagree that critizing it for being slow and clunky is the same as suggesting Citizen Kane be remade because it’s old. The amount the user’s experience is diminished due to outdated technology is far, far

I am! Haven’t touched Celeste yet because Dead Cells is fantastic. I was skeptical of the idea of procedurally generated Metroidvania-style levels, but with the way they’ve built the progression system, it all works so well. And the combat combined with the Diablo-style ability slots is also super satisfying.  Very

If he made it up himself, I seriously doubt there is a rider in his contract that transfers the rights to any choreographic bits he creates to the producers. And I don’t think TV directors own the rights to movement like stage choreographers do.

First off, Activision is full of shit. Of course Subtitles being included in games is standard. I always turn them on for any game with any kind of story, and I’ve never found a game that lacked them.

I hope that game did ok.  It’s already deeply discounted for Black Friday.

I don’t get a lot of these. What’s the winner a reference to? And what game is that giant shark from?

I am currently letting Arthur find his way to the Lemoyne camp with Cinematic Mode, so I imagine a lot of what I’ll be playing will be Red Dead Redemption II.

I really like those Super Mario Land lyrics! Now that song you created is stuck in my head.

That iPad Pro + 2nd gen Apple Pencil are great for reading and marking up sheet music.  Or so I’ve heard.  But that’s a compelling reason to shell out the extra cash, IMO.

I wasn’t doing that either. All I was trying to do was point out the irony of someone who writes about video games for a living shitting on musicals, given that people who don’t know are quick to shit on both of those things. I love both, and don’t think one is more valid as art than the other. But I do apologize

I was not being a snob at all towards her or video games at all, and yes, saying you are a snob implies that you think the art that is beneath is beneath you.

I disagree that I’m misinterpreting her meaning, since she specifically said “I’ve long outgrown my music snob phase,” which implies the list was of lower forms of music she now lets herself enjoy that a snob would never stoop too.

You completely missed my point.  And it’s a pretty clear point that I made.

I think you’re assuming a lot of old stereotypes are true which are no longer applicable, but I’m not going to try to refute them individually or find evidence. Just because musical theatre doesn’t gross as much as video games most of the world doesn’t mean there aren’t thriving scenes in all the countries I

There are many more great games on sale on the Nintendo eShop other than Undertale (which I just finished today btw and yes is an incredible game and everyone should buy it). I bought Dead Cells and Celeste, both of which are 20% off. Loving Dead Cells so far. And there are a bunch of other great indies on sale, Sho

Also, it’s on sale right now! I don’t know what the discount is because the eshop doesn’t show you the price of purchased games, but it was worth it at full price.

I appreciate your reasoned, polite disagreement, but I disagree with you. Only because a couple sentences before, she says, “I’ve long outgrown my music snob phase,”, which suggests to me that the succeeding list is of lower art that she now lets herself enjoy, musicals being at the bottom of said list.
