Best game ever!

Someone on twitter pointed out that in this costume, Mario is throwing an ax.  So that’s something...

This is an excellent point you make that I had not thought of.  And I’ve been looking for a reason to object to this whole thing other than my being irked.

Neither do I!  I love that guy so much.

The first time I gamed heavily on my smartphone was when I first got one, because it was new. The second time was when I broke my right thumb. iOS gaming was my only option at that time other than a handful of games on the DS I could play just with the stylus, and I was very thankful to have Dragon Quest I and II on

As I said from the beginning, I am only going off the information he has given us. All of that information taken as a whole leads a reasonable person to conclude that he didn’t give the game a fair shot. Every problem you’ve had with that contention has required one to make additional assumptions, so once again,

Wow way to get randomly angry there for no good reason, chief. This has got to be the least interesting argument I’ve ever had on kinja, but I honestly have no idea what you could possibly be referring to re: assumptions, since, y’know, you assumed the author of this piece should have some preconceived notions about

Once? Maybe, maybe not. It’s entirely possible it wasn’t the game’s fault at all.

Ok. But you are not the author of this piece. And based on what the author of this piece has written, with no other outside knowledge, all we know is that he had no reason to dislike the game (as you did), played it without actually experiencing the core game, and decided he didn’t like it, which seems premature to

I’ve never played Fortnite, but I feel confident that describing one deciding they don’t like the game even though they didn’t ever engage any other players as “not giving it a fair shot” is appropriate.

Yeah I was really thinking more ‘93-‘95, but I didn’t want to say “early 90s” cause the R&B-pop sound of that tine has definitely been revived.

I’d much rather read a post about why God of War got you back into gaming after a 10-year absence than this trivial joke post about you thinking Fortnite is dumb after not giving it a fair shot.

Why did the pop culture revival cycle totally skip the mid-90s? I’ve been waiting for the revival of grunge and heavy alt-rock (more Soundgarden than Pearl Jam), but it seems like it’s not happening at this point. I realize flannel is coming back this year, and ripped jeans have been hip for a couple years, but the

Strangely that has been a problem for me in Safari on my iMac since I updated to Mojave, but it hasn’t been a problem on iOS (though I haven’t updated my phone to iOS 12 yet...). I click log in, I choose to use my gmail credentials to log in, and it takes me back to the initial log in page without being signed in.

Alright, now we’re getting somewhere!

I love Super Mario 2!  That’s an excellent metaphor, thank you.

Alright, that’s a good start...

Why is Dark Souls 2 the most controversial game in the franchise? How do people feel about it?  Let’s have some real substantive debate around here.

I long for the days when you could read a “This Week in Business” post and be shocked when there is a note about how many white supremacists are on a given chat platform.

Thanks! I do have a 3DS, I shall look into those two. Quick question: Do both of those games actually use 3D? I’m one of the seemingly few 3DS owners who uses 3D on full blast all the time, and gets annoyed when games don’t make use of it.
