Given that you’ve described the show as “one note”, it seems as though you’re shitting on the show without actually having seen it, or only having seen one episode. Which, why? Cause that descriptor is totally inaccurate.

Fantastic!! Great show with a great cast. It is a little bit on the decline, sure, but what sitcom that was at its peak in season 2 is not slightly worse for wear in season 5? It certainly did not lose enough of the magic to warrant cancelling.

A worthy sacrifice, I think, for such a noble cause.

Gotcha, thanks. That makes total sense, because I would use it as a party game and for the single player, but I don’t really pay much attention to esports.

I adored Pikmin 3, partially because I had never played a Pikmin game before.

Remind me again why people hate Brawl? It’s slower, is that it? Brawl happens to be my favorite Smash, due to the character roster, the Subspace Emissary mode, and where I happened to be in life and the friends I had surrounding me at that time. I miss that game a whole lot.

Perfect timing for me, as I just finished Horizon yesterday. I played the first 45 minutes or so on the day GoW was released, but I think I’m going to start over from the beginning today.

Everyone else made this point, but I just want to mention that I said all the way back when the GC games on Switch rumor popped up that it probably wouldn’t be called the Virtual Console if it ever happened. This “news” is not news of anything, except them dropping an outdated branding.

That’s great to hear! Otherwise I would probably end up paying for the service but not ever feel like I was getting my money’s worth since I very rarely play online and I don’t need to play any of those NES games on another platform. Cloud saves are worth $20/year.

Must finish Horizon: Zero Dawn before I start God of War...

One of my hottest takes will always be that Batman Returns is the best Batman movie ever.

Seriously. I love Horizon’s photo mode. I have gigabytes of photos from that game, and I’m still not finished with it. I hope the GoW photo mode gets patched in before I start my playthrough in earnest (hopefully around the end of next week).

Yeah they talked about the thing with the dock scratching the screen a bunch when it first launched, but not at all since then, so I thought there was a chance you hadn’t heard about it. It’s only a problem if the console isn’t parallel to the sides of the dock when you drop it in. You should have no problem if

What the fuck are you talking about? I have a terminal degree in writing actually, and you’ve never read my writing. You’re a poor writer though, because I have absolutely no idea why you made that incredibly rude comment.

Clearly everyone has very different opinions about RPGs. It’s very difficult for me to understand how anyone can possibly answer anything other than the SNES, given FFIV, FFVI, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, Earthbound, and Super Mario RPG. I mean, how can any one console ever top that lineup? Two of those games

I have 16 hours of rehearsal this weekend, so not much. Hopefully some Horizon: Zero Dawn. I stupidly started God of War last Friday before I went away for four days to New Orleans, and it’s amazing, but I really want to finish Horizon, so I gotta push through that asap so I can play God of War.

Pro Controller, at least a 128gb mini SD card, and a screen protector are really the only accessories you need. ICYMI the Switch dock has a tendency to scratch the screen if you’re not careful. And I really believe the Pro Controller is the best console game controller ever.

No, The Bloody Baron was the most compelling part of the story for me. I wouldn’t consider The Bloody Baron part of the main story, rather, one of the premiere side quests. That’s why I was saying the side quests are far more compelling. But if I’m wrong on that (it has been a while, and I’ve played many games

I never played The Witcher 2, but I’ve heard similar things about Roche from other people.

Yep, I finished it and all the DLC. I continued to feel the way I felt in the first half, that the main quest was uninteresting but all the side quests were fantastic. And to be clear, the relationship between Geralt and Ciri was very well done, but the actual plot was what I found pretty underwhelming.
