Just want to chime in that cars, in general, are expensive. I recently discovered you can spend nearly 50K on a Toyota 4Runner.
As the manager of the BMW team at an independent euro-specialist auto shop, these things are maintenance nightmares starting around this mileage. Unless you can get extensive service records showing some of the major things have been completed, I’d steer clear.
