Glad I'm not the only one that cant drive a standard in sub zero temps.

I remember when I was a kid we went to a local museum that had a 50s Ferrari race car (too young to remember exactly what it was) and it had 4 wheel disks. 10 year old me thought, 50 years ago a race car had this technology, shouldnt every car have it today? Yet still in 2013 not all cars come with 4 wheel disks.
I want steel wheels for my summer wheels and use my small OEM wheels for winters haha. Too bad 5x100 bolt pattern sucks...
Came here to post this. Thank you.
Came here to say this exact thing. I know with ice pretty much all bets are off. But don't panic brake, and you might be able to correct it. There were a few times in 6 where it looked like they would have been ok if they didnt mash the brakes.
Theres something so awful about that crunch of a car hitting a solid object, but every time it happens i get this evil grin on my face.
Just to further comment on car amount, when would you ever drive all those cars. Sure 200 doesn't seem like much, but for me I buy what I have to, then make a few core cars for each class that I use over and over again because they're the most fun to drive. Usually consisting of some kind of muscle car, an over…
Yea whatever happened to these? I assume rear crash issues?
They do this with the explorer and taurus and though I do understand its a continuation of the body line, I think it looks better smoothed out as well. Looks like a photoshop mistake in a photo and a dent in real life. I don't really understand why they keep doing it on everything.
Ohh yes, the G.W. should be avoided at all costs. Hope your holiday went well and the drive was ok!
As someone who has made that trek countless times, you are completely right. No other way than down 87, then sit in traffic over the Tappan Zee, sit in traffic over the Throgs Neck, and sit in traffic on the L.I.E. Good luck good sir.
I'll be doing 3 today. Leaving the murder mitten to drive back to NY. I figure since the weather is supposed to be bad tomorrow as well, I'll drive tonight to try and minimize the number of idiots on the road.
" Did the new generation of MINI loose it's go-kart driving heritage? Don't give me an answer until you've been behind the wheel of one."
I have to agree with this. My Uncles wife bought a Countryman and tho its not as small and nimble as some cars, I wouldn't go as far to say its a pig and not fun to drive. Its peppy,…
Thats something I never thought. Brilliant point though.
Thats a pretty good description of it actually lol. Its true tho. Same chassis, just different sheet metal and plastic. I was kinda disappointed the door cards didnt remain similar to the global ones. The ones in the global truck are pretty cool and flow nicely (even with the base manual door and window trim) The US…
Yea I really like the global interior, especially with the round knob for HVAC, its more interesting than a large bank of buttons. I think the Colorado pulls the whole center stack radio/HVAC area from Silverado.
Youre completely right. They just made the front end more upright and 'truck like'
I always thought they were kinda cool, but never understood the point either.
You can always buy the remote start system and install it yourself. Thats what a friend of mine did with her Wrangler since it was a manual.
Oh thats true too. GM had those concepts a few years ago, those would work. Hell, dodge could have a BRZ/FRS thing and you could make a Chrysler one (think Crossfire?) to go up against the TT and 1 Series.
