And ... we can still have health insurance if we want it. In the German system there is fundamental health care for everyone. But many employers, including the German Federal Government, offer additional health insurance. It covers things like private rooms in the hospital, some elective surgeries, things like that.

Supervised release is a pain in the ass. It’s just more punishment. She might negotiate 24 months of SR versus 4 months in prison + 12 months SR. Almost anything’s better than prison.
