My kind of auto enthusiast for dating would be someone into reliable, practical, easily-maintained cars.

But what if I’ve appointed myself defender of said property? I mean, I live on the opposite coast, and it has nothing to do with me, but doggone it, someone has to stand up for that neighborhood. Time for my fifteen minutes!!!
Solid “meh” at that price.
Heck, even my mom went there early 70s, and she was from New Jersey.
Did you go to WVU, too?
IS350 MSRP starts at $45k. But yeah, the IS500 starts at $59k, and it looks like they’re advertised well into the 60s, so it’s significantly under that.
I don’t disagree, but is there a reason the Acura dealers will only ask MSRP?
huh, I would have never guessed. I wonder if that will change when dealer markups push this to $60k+. I dunno what average is on a CTR, but my local dealer is asking $60k.
The diehard Honda performance fans are buying CTRs. This is for the even smaller population of well-heeled diehard Acura performance fans.
Yeah, Honda/Acura has a really weird line to walk here on price. They’ve historically been positioned as more budget-friendly luxury. They consistently price a decent chunk below their german competitors, as well as Lexus. But at $51k, they’re firmly in the M240/S3/IS500 (does Lexus even make those anymore?) price…
The local honda dealer has a CTR marked up to $60k. So the ITS seems like a bargain.
Not a used car dealer, but a local mom and pop hardware/general store. Never saw the place open, but there was always a 964 parked in the middle of the floor there. Never seemed to go anywhere.
I’ve tried. Living in Kentucky turned them feral, though. Re-civilizing them has been a process.
Also, my kids would probably murder each other in the back of a civic. The back of the cayenne is barely enough separation for them.
Because I’m not Mr. Moneybags over here and I bought used. Since we were in the process of moving and I needed something I could pack a few months of my life in while the rest of the family caught up, I needed something fairly large. And I’d far prefer getting something I really like, rather than something to tide me…
I still have my sights on a “real” porsche, but the cayenne I’ve got is really satisfying to drive. Plus it fits the kids and can make a Costco run.
“Hey horse, we should go that way to keep up.”
A model 3 is within 100 pounds of a BMW 3 series.
just as an example that I picked with ten seconds of googling, a BMW 3 and Tesla 3 are within 100 pounds of each other.
Blanket consumption taxes always do that. It’s a feature, not a bug.
