I’m still trying to figure out why I’d want an EV over a regular gas car. Until I can get a definitive answer to that, then the EV will never be anything more than a niche vehicle.

I think I’m the only person that hates the volt.

Its like all the negatives of Gas and electric in one.

Short battery-only range, the service of a gas engine, high price tag, the performance of a midsize car, Battery concerns 10 years down the road, normal car maintenance, relatively small...

I just don’t see the

Which is still longer than refueling a gas tank: Three minutes.

Then again, the Woz also does this...

This. Until manufacturers stop doing the “it’s only $30,000*” *(with government incentives) bullshit in their advertising it’s not feasible. Give me the actual price of the car. Tell me it’s $37,500. Tell me that up front. Don’t tell me about all these tax credits I’m not getting. The only way I’d get it is if I

Honestly, if I didn’t have a raging boner for my impractical vehicle child I would be all over a Chevy or Nissan EV. I could daily drive it and have something more spacious, comfortable and fun to drive for road trips.

Still have to find someplace to plug in.

Wait, that’s the dude?

Was it in (P)ark mode or just had e-brake engaged?

Any other bigoted stereotypes youd like to employ?

Pro-tip: when painting with a broad brush, you should be damn sure it is correct.

Don’t worry Roger Goodell already added an extra two games to Tom Brady’s suspension over this crash.

Good jobs leave when their cost becomes unsustainable and those who need them are not willing to compromise to keep them sustainable.

It’s not good that the jobs are gone, but it’s difficult to feel sympathy for those who feel entitled to high paying jobs in an area where the median household income is under $50k (and surrounding areas are much lower).

There was a GM plant about 10 minutes from where I grew up, and it was the one that built Tahoes/Suburbans (Janesville, WI). When it closed down, the former workers there thought every blue collar job in the area was beneath them since they didn’t pay $25/hour+ for their high school diploma.

I agree, they totally deserved it. I think Ford had the right idea when it came down to the wire and they responded by cutting costs. I wish GM and Chrysler had done the same. Canada is making a huge mistake throwing these threats around when they absolutely should be compromising.

Good. In my experience, UAW workers are the most entitled, overpaid dickheads ever and they deserve this shit.

Auto unions continue to amuse me. “The big 3 won’t promise us future business, probably due to costs and difficulty to work with us, so let’s show them how difficult it is to work with us by striking!”

As a 29 year old millennial, I can’t abide apologist pussies in my generation. Political incorrectness is covered in free speech, the most important right that we have. Safe spaces and trigger warnings are merely accepted terms for censorship.

Sobbing and screaming hysterically over chalk drawings is “trying?” You’re a third-wave feminist (gender construct or not), aren’t you?

Mmm. Intergenerational conflict. Bring on the Boomers to shake their walkers and the other Millenials to make fun of them with Snapchat filters. As a dedicated Xer, I shall dutifully express my aloofness by rolling my eyes at all of you.
