I mean, you CAN hand whip cream. I just find it easier to do it in the stand mixer. Either way, I still have a whisk and a bowl to clean, but with the mixer I can just let it go while I do something else. There are some tasks where it’s more of a hassle to use the appliance, but this isn’t one of them.
