Economic instability due to political unrest hits their bottom line. Is that enough reason? Besides, companies are people too!

So many wide eyed dummies running around filming their crime and nothing more.
95% of all professional technical people use Google to help solve their problems and the other 5% are liars.
I don’t understand that last part. My understanding of patent law is that if you can prove prior art, a patent will normally be invalidated if challenged.
2nd Gear: I’ve gotten gift cards from an employer. It wouldn’t be so bad except that they were Amex cards. Maybe pick a card that works at more places like, maybe, Discover?
Rolling back everything Obama did that they could is great, in their opinion. So there’s that.
That’s the point. What I’m proposing would be faster than a golf cart; something that could actually keep up with traffic. Though I guess to be fair, being capable of keeping up with traffic and the driver actually doing so may be two different things!
Bill Gates enters the chat.
I’d argue that even if we had had a democrat in the WH things would still be pretty effed up. Maybe worse: Just think how a Republican Senate majority might have blocked a lot of the relief effort for a Hillary presidency, but supported it because they didn’t want Trump to look bad.
Make it closer to the Smart Fortwo in size, mainly to increase cargo capacity (read grocery shopping). Maybe increase the top speed to 40 or 45mph. The US limits low-speed vehicles to a top speed of 25mph. Maybe we need a new category that can safely travel on streets that have 35 or 40mph speed limits. That would…
The MAX 7 doesn’t carry as many passengers as the a320neo, with an MSRP of $96M. A closer comparison would be the MAX 8 to the a320neo. The MSRP is $117M versus $111M. Of course we don’t know what discounts airlines might get. I suspect Boeing is going to selling at a larger than normal discount for awhile. In some…
China won’t be a competitor on the world market unless and until they have a parts and service infrastructure. On the other hand, the China domestic market is growing, and I suspect it won’t be too long before Boeing and Airbus sales will tank there.
The Mustang is popular with young people because it’s affordable, especially on the used market. None of my adult friends own a Mustang, but the teenage son of one has an older Saleen.
You should be using a ball peen hammer, not a claw hammer for any application where you’re hitting a hard unyielding surface.
Fair point. Raphael would be a lot better off if he actually put some numbers to it. But that would require, you know, doing actual research that good reporters do.
I’m guessing that Raphael is trying to say that auto/truck owners should pay enough in taxes to make up for all driving related costs that the state/cities bear, which is substantial. And that he feels that they are currently not paying enough.
Teslas at least are always phoning home, so a system could be set up so that the DMV could ping the manufacturer for the mileage for a particular VIN from x date to y and do the calculation. I’m pretty sure that you have to register your car every year in most states.
EVs don’t pay the tax that’s on gas and diesel fuels. For states that have yearly emissions/safety inspections, you can easily get the current mileage, subtract the previous mileage, and calculate a tax per mile fee to add to your registration fees.
It’ll happen it’s just gonna take time. the bigger problem is updating the
electricalinfrastructure we’ve ignored since WWII.
The article was talking about EVs WRT grid load. My argument is that at lot of EV users will, especially in the beginning, be homeowners who will likely have space and can charge at night (off-peak). A lot of renters, at least where I live, rent in apartment complexes with parking provided. It would be possible for…
