Counterpoint: When they list “average new car prices,” are they talking about just cars, or are they really talking about “average new vehicle prices,” which includes more expensive SUVs and light trucks. That probably explains the difference, not a Bugatti or other supercar.

With titanium exhaust!

Phone in a plastic bag for weather resistance. If you use one of those plastic grocery bags and place it properly, it would look like it was trash that got blown up into the tree and caught there.

The display is never on, so there’s that power savings. The phone would be in standby at night too, with no deliveries.

States that require safety inspections would still require an annual inspection for that, but they might not have to bother with the emissions test.

Don’t forget that OBDIII is suppose to transmit that a car is failing emissions in near real time to the state agencies, so that they can send you a notice to fix it within a short period of time or face a fine.

There are plenty of cases where cops have used “official use only” systems to track ex spouses, ex boyfriends/girlfriends, and neighbors they’re pissed off at.

Sure, incidents are rare, but they still happen. And in many cases people are hurt or killed because the cops are careless, and don’t seem to give a damn because they are almost never held accountable, and they know it.

But those contractors don’t have to worry about paying a lot of money for health coverage for themselves or their employees, if any.

That would be a regressive tax on a product that, in the US at least, can’t usually be avoided.

Expanded. Dramatically. I see what you did there.

That’s not a problem with a 0 speed limit. All It was on fire when I got here was saying is that to actuate the release mechanism, you can’t be moving. Once you open the frunk, you can keep it open and move the vehicle.

But then I couldn’t use the frunk lid as an emergency speed brake.

Maybe here? McMaster-Carr.

Maybe GM should put the frunk hinges on the leading edge. Then it would only be an issue if you were going real fast in reverse.

That’s true. The answer is to move away from using hydrocarbons in cars and electricity production as much as possible. That reduces demand and lets airliners and ships continue using them, and reduces carbon emissions by a huge amount.

Plot twist: The guy took a hammer to another person’s Rio. But it actually improved the resale value, added character, so the owner wasn’t upset.

I stand corrected. The term electromagnetic radiation covers both ionizing and non-ionizing radiation, while I thought it was only the latter. TIL

Electromagnetic radiation, which is non-ionizing radiation. As in radio frequency emissions. Gamma, beta, and alpha rays are of the ionizing kind, which are much more dangerous.
