Depends upon the car. For some headlight lenses you pop the hood, flip a lever, pull the lens partway out, remove the connector(s) and your done. On others, it would probably be easier to remove the engine. I’m looking at you 2008-2012 Chevy Malibu.

I’ve got the 4.2 V6 in my old F150. The 2.7T has about 100hp on my V6, which gets 16/21 mpg real world. I’d be surprised if the Silverado doesn’t do much better in general commuter driving which, let’s be honest, is the way most truck these days are driven.
