I guess they didn’t want to show the likely depressing reality of a box with OLED screens displaying whatever the passengers desire on the inside instead of glass (although this could be somewhat interesting, like maybe you could have choices that make you appear to be flying through lava tunnels or whatever one could

My 1970 240Z was white with blue interior. The seats, headliner, interior roof trim, whole door cards, footwells, and tunnel were colored, the latter in an embossed diamond pattern. This is pretty close. I’m definitely a fan. It would also be nice if the color reached the top of the doors, but that might look funny

The thing I like about being a fairly cheap prick, is that the lower end trims usually align very well with my preferences! Cloth seats and a manual sound good to me and the 17s become dedicated snow tire wheels with an aftermarket upgrade for summer for cheaper than the higher trim will probably come in.

How is the

I know they said a little while ago that they were going to do a bunch of ST models. I don’t know if that changed, but it’s probably a smart way to print some more money when the sales on these start to drop. The 2.3 are the same dimensionally as the 2.0 . . .

I kind of think the two often go hand-in-hand due to the strain on an engine that has to move too much car, but a quick calculation says that’s about 14.8 lbs./hp at the highest listed weight with the 2.0T that has a strong low and midrange. It won’t win many drag races, but I couldn’t imagine it would actually feel

I would have liked to have seen some more innovative substitutes for materials, like non-petroleum, compostable mycelium for plastics. Maybe they’re not quite at the level required for this application, I don’t know, but how durable would cork be in the real world, either, and would the supply be workable for a high

With this as a one-off it is as there’s less equipment that needs to be manufactured as any part could be made with the same machine, there would be less energy required per part, and waste can be reused, but that doesn’t translate to production. For production, they’d do an injection mold, but they could reuse waste

Yeah, it could be a little cleaner, but it looks very clear. I’d check operability, then neaten it up later . . . maybe (I get lazy once a project is >95% complete).

I get the complaint, but am I the only one who hates BT? On every device and almost every time I have tried to use it, I get frequent disconnects. Even an old radio cabinet I rebuilt with modern guts develops these skips in the music that sound like a scratched CD after about an hour of playing from a Macbook Pro via

This! I’ve driven FWD cars down roads people think they need a Wrangler to navigate because they don’t know what all that off road gear is really for in the first place. It’s like driving a race car on the street where everything for normal use is compromised for a very specific purpose 99% of them wouldn’t have the

My first thought, too. I’d be openly cursing whoever put that in every time I get in and just want to go. It’s a daily driver, not a weekend toy.

I wouldn’t want the 1.5, but the 2.0T is a great engine. It’s not great in terms of legendary, but I have it in my ST and it’s as reliable as the un-turboed one I had before it. It’s got over 175k miles and I’ve done nothing but change oil, spark plugs a couple times, and the recall for the purge valve (a $50 part

I like Porsches, but they’re just not for me (that green, though! Mmmm), yet I would have this over a VW Bugatti without even a thought. To most people, it’s another 911, so you’re not paying for look-at-me-Debbie-who-wouldn’t-go-to-prom-with-me-what-do-you-think-of-me-now?, you’re paying for impeccable craftsmanship

From an environmental standpoint, it makes more sense to subsidize large vehicles. Someone in a large vehicle is very unlikely to want/be able to downsize, never mind downsize to something that looks like it fits in a toy box (for the record, I think this thing is adorable) and taking a large hydrocarbon vehicle off

Some advice for the mulch/dirt people from someone who’s used a lot of dirt: I can fit 2 yards of mulch/1 soil in a Ford Focus hatch with the seats down and have room to spare. A full size PU bed only fits about 2-3 loose yards. If you need a substantial amount of dirt or mulch, have it delivered—even with delivery

Moving up slightly in the nostalgia age demographic, I see. I never liked muscle bikes (BMX/freestyle was my era, though I can’t see riding one as an adult), but this looks good and seems well thought out. They should really consider making these kinds of things for (small) series production.

I’d like to see how they

Yeah, if I shift to reverse quickly after a stop, it usually won’t come on unless I shift back out and in slower. I don’t really need the thing, so it’s a very minor annoyance, but those times it doesn’t work are the times where it would be the most helpful, like trying to do a 3-point turn quickly in a narrow space.

They can be put to work fixing crumbling roads. I’d say they should be made to clean up crash scenes after an investigation is complete, but that assumes a conscience that would be affected and that’s a big assumption to make in these narcissistic times.

It’s always a damn CRV in the way.

I’m impressed by the firearm restraint the cops showed here.

Unless you’re feeling guilty about your overconsumption, why should these peoples’ opinions matter to you?
