I honestly don’t remember the timeline - he outed their affair in summer or fall of 16, so didn’t they turn against him before then? It seemed like neither were all that happy once he won the nom. That does not excuse the Hillary bashing or the false equivalence crap. I just don’t remember in the long and weird…
Of course not! I should’ve provided more context. He’d been creepy before and I felt more comfortable with him by the time I took that opp to make clear I wanted him to be more professional with me.
You’re absolutely right. I wasn’t clear and conflated the two acts when I meant to point out the commonality of the coverup. I guess I meant of course she knows he could cover up a big story because she’d done the same. It’s hard to believe a media figure wouldn’t have known about Weinstein. They’re all so clubby.
I believe he’s been suspended by the board, a third of whom quit, and Mika Brzezinski has called on people to alienate him and said she will not go forward with her 3 book deal with the company unless he’s removed.
I’m so sorry about your experience. Your hope in millennials is well-placed! When we were teenagers it was very different, but when I entered my 20s I was harassed twice. When my boss, who’d been inappropriate before, complimented my clothes and said I looked grown up, I shot back something like “weren’t you more…
OMG of course you made this about Rafa!!!
Right?? You’re very welcome. I’m a lawyer myself, so any research I do is in service to my stubborn perspective. ;) I hope you have a fabulous nuit.
General guide —> early morning tweets are his. Tweets later on and with links/videos probably aren’t. The algorithm also accounts for negative words. There are too many for a greatest hits!
FYI, there’s a great account called @aidetweetbot that analyzes Trump’s tweets and determines whether it’s him or his babysitters.
Well, no, but he went a little overboard in order to get out of it. http://www.nytimes.com/2006/07/05/business/05cnd-lay.html
Imagining them going after her for these non-scandals is the only thing that keeps me from, as Liz Lemon said, renting a car, setting it on fire, and driving off a waterfall. That would be fucking awful.
Imagine? You don’t have to: They went bonkers because of Benghazi, which Hillary Clinton arguably had nothing to do with, and over her email server when Kobach and Javanka are doing the exact same thing. She would’ve been impeached on January 21.
Um... I really hate to say this... but his presidential campaign was probably a stunt to launch Trump TV. He never intended to win, he just wanted to make money.
Perhaps Omarosa, Jared and co. can be anchcors on Trump TV in a few years!
Yes. Check out that Frank Rich piece; I found it really comforting. And I learned the fun trivia that Nixon was super drunk all the time in the final days of his presidency.
The hiring of Paul Manafort alone is such a dead giveaway it’s not even funny.
They were Texas-based (and had ties to W), though, and it’s highly unusual for corporate management to go to jail. But yes, I agree there’s significant headwinds for Mueller in that Congress has no interest in getting rid of Trump, and they won’t unless he starts sinking them politically (which was the impetus for…
FYI Mueller’s investigation of Enron took 5 years. It was arguably more complex because the players weren’t this stupid and transparent. He put a lot of people in prison. He has the blueprint to do this and I’m guessing it’ll take under 3 years, maybe even 2.
I’m so sorry. Do you have a good support system? What can we do?
