I've had the same feeling. It's not reported, it's all framed and couched in political meaning. Like almost everything in the "news." Writers want to stand up for integrity but also push politics.  It's hard to tell the difference between an op-ed and news.

While working at a Mitsubishi dealer in 2009 I had the joy of replacing a cooling fan, fan shroud and engine mount in a Raider (Dodge Dakota). There was only one bolt holding the driver’s side mount to the engine. Not four. One. There had obviously never been others. The threads were full of rust and dirt.

I’d do it, especially since I had my wing removed. Only problem is that those ducktail lids are a grand. :|

Toyotas have stupid problems all the time. Work at a dealer for a year and you'll see through dumb shit that breaks, just like every other car.

Toyota techs hated 2JZ engines, too.  You don't see them often enough to get good at them, plus they're covered in godforsaken vacuum hoses.
