Yeah, sounds like the clouds were as low as 400AGL, which at 300kts (reasonable assuming takeoff power and a dive) gives you less than a second to notice the ground’s in the wrong place before you hit it.

So, uh, Dakota...? You got any of that good blue stuff? Asking for a friend!
I’ll take the NYPD over the jokers at my local PD. Still remember (and not fondly) the time when someone stole my van and when the cops found it, they found a meth lab inside.
Yes! So thankful I don't.
That’s decent advice, but mine is better: DON’T HAVE KIDS!!!
Same I totaled my 2006 300C in 2020 for like 7 is was not worth that much lol. Sometimes insurance does goofy stuff. I got rear ended in my 1991 Caddy El Dorado, like like 2001 or 02, in a parking lot, between them paying for my rental car and the repairs, it took a couple MONTHS to find a trunk I think I stung them…
When my 08 civic coupe was totaled last year my insurance gave me $8k for it. I was shocked.
I’m sure DCA staying open has 100% to do with all of the politicians not wanting to have to fly into Dulles and then drive (be driven) into DC... all of a 30 minute drive likely driven by a staffer anyway.
This is great advice except... He doesn’t actually have $60k. He just thinks a bank will lend it to him.
Oh for the love of all that is holy, I wish someone would isolate this clown from any form of communication for at least a month after any event.
I had a kid and drove a 2002 WRX. My advice....
DO NOT BUY A $60K CAR! Take $40k and invest it in a broad market ETF then use that $20k. Either get a minivan to replace the truck or a medium SUV. But kids are expensive dont spend that much on a car even if you think you can afford it now. Get something older used and…
And even if they never have a 2nd kid, once thar kid is over, say, 4, they will frequently be traveling with a friend.
I would go with the Odyssey. Cheaper and still has a good V6 that makes good V6 noises. Uses more gas than the Toyota, but VTEC Yoo! and a lot less ugly.
Yeah, kind of like how no one gives a single rip about an old Ford Taurus, unless it was a SHO version. Then, it becomes a cool collectors item.
Clean Miatas and BRZs will do like clean 80s-90s Civics are doing and clean Datsun 510s and others did before that. They’ll never go crazy high, but they will gain value if they aren’t chopped up and abused.
And this also doesn’t take into account that the Escape is nowhere near as enjoyable to drive as the Mach-E, which is a very slick place to be.
I have a Mach-E for my commuter. It’s efficient, quick when I need it to be, and quiet as hell on the road.
Unless Cadillac takes back their word on the CT5-V Blackwing being the last manual V8 Cadillac, I think it will be the collector car to have from this era.
I’m thinking of a vehicle that’s a rare, high performance version of a more common car. That way, in the future, those more common versions can be cannibalized to keep the rare version going.
