I hope the transmission stays in one piece. And this is an odd limited edition to me, 197 hp is super doable on an ND Miata (though with FI, not revised heads and engine guts), and wheels, aero, decals, dampers, etc. are all readily available to suit the driver’s specific needs. And Aero Gray? I’m so over gray. Not

As a former STI owner, I don’t really care about the power. The aftermarket will handle that.

I’d be happy if they produced this, but I think it would look even better as a shooting brake.

Man that just looks so...wrong. I wished they’d stop trying to make this a 1 off $300K hyper car and just sell the Dam thing normally with drift mode:

Yeah, that was a weird comment that you can “barely hear” the factory exhaust. I think the sound of the factory exhaust is good. It’s not after-market loud, of course (which is good), but I literally got a complement on the “throaty” his word) exhaust note on Christmas Eve.

I would have been fine with the ZR1 being a coupe (targa) only, but the sales data show that the convertibles sell really well. Half of Z06 orders so far have been for the convertible; and I can’t blame them because that’s what I chose too.

Because it’s a limited production run, that’s the only reason why.

Fucking morons. A legion of attention hungry morons, that is what we’re dealing with right now.

while the rest of the purported specs on this are (mildly) disappointing, those seats are fucking awesome

People have a moving, unobtainable acceptance bar for the sti. No power will be great enough, no price will be low enough, and no features will make it worth it. I can see why Subaru stopped making them.. they fine tune a well adjusted awd performance car only to be compared to a korean EV.

Blame the owners. They’ve managed to make it not just a car, but an identity.

I know there’s going to be 100 dealers marking these up to $300K

I don’t need to know what’s in each trim package, I’ll be reading it off the detailed placard on the other side of the ‘do not touch’ rope at every cruise and Cars ‘n’ Coffee for the next few decades.

It is said, it will outrun any car that sells for less than a million dollars.

For reference, the 1993 C4 ZR1 had a sticker of about 67k, which equals a little under 150k in today’s money. I don’t think it’s fair to say this is “too expensive for a Corvette” considering what it offers.

Take the star, just take it already, even though you don’t need it, because you are all knowing, and the best of us...

So, if I’m reading this right... the suggestion is to wash the inside of your window with glass cleaner?

If Mazda had given us another RX-7, taller drivers could just buy one of those, but Mazda never did.

Apparently, though, we actually would have gotten a new RX-7 if those bankers hadn’t ruined the world’s economy back in 2008.

I’ll take this with a huge grain of salt. Nobody inside of Mazda has been able to agree upon or get their stories straight about the rotary for at least 15 years or more. What we do know is that the NC MX-5 shared a lot of underpinnings with the RX-8 platform. Sway bars, camber arms, and a lot of the suspension and
