The Maverick gets between 35-40mpg and is cheaper to buy.

The Maverick is definitely the tool for that job, and a different class of vehicle in general. Even though a lot of people will use a Tacoma for purposes a Maverick could accomplish, they really aren’t worth comparing.

The Taco only gets 24mpg with the hybrid, which is pretty disappointing honestly. The Maverick gets between 35-40mpg and is cheaper to buy

I don’t know anything about this other than what I just read in this article, but seems to me sneaking onboard this thing is a great way to end up a prisoner in a foreign country for an indefinite period of time. Just like trying to take drugs through a russian airport.

Combat Cargo will sniff at your Royal Enfield and kick you off of the flight deck.

These bikes are amazing if you want enough torque at idle to climb a 45 degree grade and dont care that it’s 0 to 60 time is...yes...ish. The problem is so few were made for the military that they command a premium simply for how rare they are. They had a claimed range of around 600 miles on a tank if I remember

This would be the perfect bike on my brother’s farm/ranch. Could run ag diesel in it. However, it violates the first rule of being a small farm vehicle... it is far too expensive!  It would need to be within 10% of the price of a typical used 2006 KLR gasser.

In principle a ticket, like any legal claim, is invalid if they don’t bother being clear what they’re asking for.  That depends on getting a judge who’s not a #$%^ of course.

That’s a super common thing in this part of Pennsylvania.

So?  They aren’t hurting you.

I can understand not wanting parking lots filling up with people trying to privately sell their cars, but if the vehicle is on private property or in a public parking area I don’t see what the big deal is. Sounds like this was in reaction to a specific situation 30 years ago, making the ordinance more of a reminder to

$15k gets you a LOT of Mazda 3 hatch. You can probably find a fully loaded one for that. Maybe not with the turbo engine (too new) but definitely with the 2.5.

Seconded on a 3 hatchback, but I’m biased because I have one. Otherwise I’d say luxury is relative. A Camry or Accord with heated leather seats should feel pretty damn luxurious to a high schooler’s keister. More importantly it shouldn’t leave him stuck on the shoulder waiting for the tow truck.

Mazda3 Hatch. Cheap to maintain and fuel efficient, plenty of space for gear

Talk about everybody missing the boat on the clearly correct car: You want a little bit of fun? You want a little bit of space? You want it for under $15k? What you want is a 2010-2013 Ford Taurus SHO:

Besides all of the carbon fiber crap and the stupid taillights, it’s not as hideous as a SEMA tuner car build could be. I’d rather go to sleeper city and have a more stock looking Malibu with the turbo, though.

I feel like the exterior treatment is both of very much of its time but tastefully restrained. I almost like it. However, the interior of that car was miserable even by the standards of late ‘90s GM products, and they somehow managed to make it worse.

These trucks are so close the difference for me would come down to the tailgate. The LC does not have the split tailgate but the 4Runner retained the roll down rear window, so I’ll take the 4Runner.

I feel like the new Land Cruiser fits kinda where the FJ was when it was out, a retro style 5 seater with really good offroad stats. The Cruiser will be more luxurious but that’s what people are willing to pay for now.

This was a GM build for the 2001 SEMA show - the Maxx didnt come out until 2004.
