All post-apocalyptic shows forget the bicycle.
All post-apocalyptic shows forget the bicycle.
Let’s be honest, doh; Burn Notice was pretty cheeky about their Hyundai sponsorship. There was an episode where Callie Thorne and Gabrielle Anwar are in a Hyundai Genesis V8, and Thorne’s character asks Anwar’s character something along the lines of, “Why are you driving a Hyundai? Aren’t these massive pieces of shit?”
It works when it’s not really ‘breathing’ so much as a variant of photosynthesizing.
It’s not a practical choice, but I don’t think a classic muscle car is too out of place in Miami.
Oh, gotcha. Yup, I think you’re exactly right on that.
I don’t think it’s wrong for a work to have trashy fan service or titillation. It’s not generally what I’m looking for but sometimes that’s what people want.
See, the funny thing is I’m not sure I agree with your first statement: I don’t think it’s wrong for a work to have trashy fan service or titillation. It’s not generally what I’m looking for but sometimes that’s what people want.
I mean, Kojima admitted that he wanted her to be designed to be sexualized, so we should keep that in mind when asking questions like “why is she posing with her ass in my face on the helicopter” but it’s when he then tries to say “Oh, but there’s an important narrative reason why she’s like this” that it becomes…
Quiet is maybe... a victim of her own power(s)?
Also others with the parasite wear full clothing in-game.
The exposed skin argument doesn’t really hold up. Her clothes could have been made from linen, which you can easily breathe through. The past couple of years of mask wearing have also proven that there are a number of fabrics that we can breathe through.
nothing against fanservice or titillation, but if you are going to add it to your work, it has to be tasteful, careful and well-thought out. Quiet is neither of those things: a completely botched execution of cool idea (which also sums up MGSV as a whole rather well.)
ballisticNG is the way to go. If someone told me it was remastered WipEout 4 I’d never doubt it for a second.
Indeed, Fast RMX on Switch and Redout everywhere else fill the void quite capably, thankfully without the kart-racer weapon system (making them superior experiences IMO).
F-Zero. It blows my mind nintendo just sits on it...
Or really any of those classic water racing games: Hydro Thunder, Wave Race, etc. Why don’t they make water racing games any more?
If you need your Wipeout fix, there are several clones out there. I’ve been playing Pacer on Xbox. It scratches the itch. https://pacergame.com/
That section where you could kind of surf the waves in a bay was my favorite at the time.
I would love to recapture that feel again.
