Fashion-conscious? Flamboyant? Hamming it up with crazy cartoon accents?

One of the best podcasts I’ve listened to all year was this week’s episode of How Did We Get Weird? With Vanessa Bayer And Jonah Bayer. They interview Bowen Yang and he very sincerely shares his love for Digimon and how for him, it ignited his creativity.

<hangs head in shame>

“You fought in the Tek Wars?”

La Madeline au Truffle with a livestock dewormer glaze.

The comments switch to slow motion as I dive in front of Brian Baumgartner, taking the bullets of stinging criticism.

Walt Disney’s Unfrozen Head: “This park was not built to cater only for the super-rich. Everyone in the world has the right to enjoy Star Wars.”

“In the criminal justice system, the people are represented by two separate yet equally important groups: The police, who are the real criminals responsible for all crime and the district attorneys, who railroad a defendant into serving hard time so they can tout high conviction rates when they run for higher office.

I felt the same when I was watching the Sonic The Hedgehog movie and he wasn’t 9 months pregnant.

These Fudge Boys sound like real cads.

You heard it hear first: Dexter Jettster is back, baby and this time he’s a muppet. He has to be. He’s Ben Kenobi’s only friend.

That museum sequence is bizarre.

John Kricfalusi used to maintain a blog where he taught the art and history of cartooning and a frequent topic was his rejection of what he called ‘tude - cartoons are traditionally physical manifestations of emotion, their bodies contort and bend to exaggerate that emotion. That’s why we can see ourselves in them.

It’s weird to see Billy show up again in Man vs. Snake: The Long and Twisted Tale of Nibbler where he’s portrayed as a kind of sage arcade saint. It’s an excellent documentary, but it’s a very different Billy Mitchell. I really can’t reconcile the two.

Nick writes quite eloquently about him in his book Gumption. When I read it I kept thinking, somebody’s got to put two-and-two together and put Nick Offerman in a Teddy Roosevelt movie. And a serious one at that.

With both of these interviews, I keep waiting for Gillian Anderson to add, “...because Hannibal is coming back for Season 4 where I’ll be returning as Dr. Bedelia Du Maurier.” but no such luck.

There was a time we ruled society and I want to see that again. That is why I voted for Donald Trump...
