Some people really love Panic on Funkotron, but the gameplay bears little resemblance to the first game. They share the same characters and art style, but they’re not even in the same genre.

Toejam & Earl is such a fantastic game, and they only recently, finally made a worthy follow-up to it. If you think you want more of the same formula when you’re done with the original, Back in the Groove is worth your time and money.

Have a great time with Toejam & Earl. It was one of my mother’s favorite games (no joke, right up there with Solomon’s Key and The Adventures of Lolo). Not the most complex or intricately designed games in the universe, but it possesses a very unique charm that’s eternally entertaining.

I’m very glad you enjoyed Wishbringer so much! As you say, it’s a really streamlined, solid, and refined take on the core components of the earlier Zork and Enchanter titles. Specifically designed to help entice newcomers to the many wondrous worlds of Infocom— it’s sensational to know its virtues still hold up today.

Agents of SHIELD s4 is incredible & one of the best TV seasons of any show in any genre, to me. The current season is pretty incredible too though. I am blown away with the show being reimagined with period-appropriate credits for each era that it visits, and how high the stakes are not just in general (the survival

it’s so, so wild. if you’d told me after Seasons 1 of Daredevil and AoS that the latter would not only last years longer, but would massively overtake the former in quality I’d have laughed in your face - but here we are. I honestly have love for every season, even the weird little black sheep that is 6, but that run

TV is basically the only bright spot in these shitty days for me anymore. At this point, I’m pretty much living for it, between rewatching Community (for probably the half-dozenth time) and Curb while keeping up with new shows as much as my lazy fucking motivation will allow. To that end, I think Better Call Saul is

I’m gonna be sad when Agents of SHIELD ends.

Steve Meretsky is the closest thing to a rockstar designer that Infocom ever had, so you need to play some of his stuff. Planetfall may be the very first computer game I ever played.

I love the concept of the mystery entries in the Infocom catalogue, but, from what I can recall, they were so damned unforgiving, like in a way that prevented you from winning the game for not doing some (seemingly arbitary) early-game action (reminiscent of Sierra Online’s adventure games). Deadline, I seem to

Oooh, you’re in for a treat with both TLH and Wishbringer; two of my favorites from the era.

After 200 hours spread across 3 years, I’ve finally finished Breath of the Wild. I don’t know how to feel, I suppose the journey was of course, more than any other game, more important than the destination. But I do feel sort of hollow, like Hyrule has suddenly become empty (I got all 120 shrines, did all the

Props to the Malick actor, he was legit creepy.

...especially when it comes to the intense violence, which is not terribly unexpected, as it’s coming from source material Frank Miller is involved in, and he’s executive-producing the show alongside Wheeler.

It’s possible to hold the following two opinions simultaneously without any sort of logical inconsistency: “The media that people consume can influence their views and even their behavior” and “anyone who thinks that a massive wave of protests against police brutality, coming on the heals of several high profile

Here’s the thing this season made me realize: I don’t care about Villanelle. I don’t care about her tragic upbringing and I don’t care about her occasional pangs of conscience.

Oooo, going through the ENTIRE King’s Quest series? Well, /comfort in advance for the OG Sierra horrors present in KQII and KQV.

Welcome back! Agreed on some of the minor vices of Monkey Island 2's design. It’s cool that it’s far more ambitious than its predecessor’s design and that there are many islands to which you can travel.

Yeah I think so. I don’t mean to dispute the logic of what you were saying, just that I think in this case other factors might be more important
