It's weird. I know it's a funny book, but that's almost never what I think about when I think about this book (or tell people when I recommend it). That first issue floored me with it's exploration of female sexuality and how hard it can be to get any information when you're young & impressionable that doesn't either

I thought the finale was good, if not amazing, until I really started digging into the imagery/thematics of the issue. It really does seem like this is Morrison's comment on not only Batman, but superhero comics in general. They can't die or give it up… it has to go on. Even when it seems like Talia has an upper hand

I really loved the opening Kate/Noh-Varr sequence… so much so that the rest of the book couldn't quite match that initial high. It was still good, mind you, but that opening was just so gorgeous and thrilling and everything I wanted this book to be. Cannot wait for more.

After the overly drawn-out Otherworld arc, I started to worry a bit if this title could ever live up to The Dark Angel Saga again. This arc has definitely put any fears I had to rest.

I've had some problems with Hickman in the past (his tendency to emphasize the scientific concepts over the narrative for example), but I adore this book. His introduction of Harry Truman alone has made me laugh every time I think of it.

I saw a Mark Waid panel at WonderCon and he's REALLY excited about digital comics. He had a proof-of-concept comic on his website for free and it was okay, but this actually made me hopeful for the format.

Did anyone read the Marvel Infinite digital comic about Nova written by Mark Waid? It's the 1st digital comic that got me excited about the format. Really cool use of focus and panels.

I think Community was exhilarating for the second half of season 1 and most of season 2, but the trouble with it's brand of pop-culture/TV criticism is that it's fun to feel "in on" the joke for awhile, but the trick is wearing thin. I still watch it, and hope I can connect with it, but I totally agree with Steven

This episode was "break up with the show" bad, but I appear to be alone in that sentiment. It honestly felt like Dexter fanfic; a close approximation of a Dexter episode, but not quite there. The only reason I'm not completely done is the Hanks/Olmos stuff was interesting and the things I absolutely hated were all

This episode did not work at all for me. It ranks among the worst, in my opinion. It felt like a rehash of some season 1 themes, and by the end was just largely nonsensical. I'm starting to worry between this and the (okay) season premiere that Harmon can only excel when he's using pop-culture as a starting off point.

Prepare to hate yourself more… he wrote Friends With Benefits. I feel quite good about myself.

The acting in general was a lot more nuanced than I was expecting. Excited Hiddleston is going to be in The Avengers now that I've seen this.

Hiddleston
I saw the film last night and was really impressed with Tom Hiddleston, as well as Hemsworth. Thoughts on him, Keith?

A Hard Sit
Just watched this 2 weeks ago. Even though it was one of the toughest times I've ever had watching a movie I would rewatch this before most modern "torture porn". I feel like there's something there below the surface in MARTYRS as opposed to any of the SAW films.

Opening Scene
The beginning scene was nice at first but became so stilted, maudlin and unrealistic I seriously almost deleted this episode and series from my DVR. The rest, thankfully, wasn't as bad.

Agree
Watched this last night on HD Net and was slightly disappointed. There's some great moments but there's quite a bit of clunky exposition (everything w/ a character on the phone specifically). The restrained direction was admirable but you nailed it, Noel, when you said it feels like it's just getting started.

hmmm
I think this episode represented all the things I don't like about the show, and I really like the show. But this was the greatest example of the show being clever without it ACTUALLY being funny at all. The whole Abed/Shirley storyline was just very self-serving and I could almost feel the writers asking the
