That's a terribly shallow reading of that scene.

Sideways
The exclusion of Sideways is damn near criminal! The scene where Virginia Madsen talks about wine is pretty much the scene of the decade and every performance represents each actors best. Wasn't that movie pretty well-recieved? Or has the backlash lasted this long? Also, Lost In Translation, COME ON!
Hmmmm
Maybe they bristled at 30 Rock's depiction of German sitcoms.
Comic-Con
I saw this in a packed ballroom at Comic-Con this year where I, and everyone else, ate it up. There were screams, laughs and everything you want from an audience during a Halloween movie. Maybe the audience experience made it better but either way this is one of the more flat-out fun horror movies I've seen…
Seriously?
This sounds like a parody of a Van Sant/Ellis collaboration. Artists who kill themselves? This should bring out the worst and most pretentious in both of them….. or it could be really good. What do I look like? A film professor?

Anyone else notice…
in the rehearsal footage Jeanine's partners always seemed to be kind of annoyed by her. Like barely hiding their grimaces behind their smiles. I found her personality kinda grating. Kayla was far and away the best. 4TH PLACE???? REALLY?!?!?!?!?!
He's the worst co-host so far. 'I'm too good to know anything about pop culture, including one of the biggest pop culture forces of all time. I'm THAT far outside of the mainstream'. DIE HIPSTER!
Reacher
I always thought Lee Child's Jack Reacher novels would make for a really entertaining action series in the '24' vein. They're an indecent amount of fun and not totally without a brain. Might be a little 'dumb' for this crowd.
