If you want to dual-boot with Ubuntu, but are more comfortable with Windows, you might want to try installing it using Wubi. Wubi can install Ubuntu on the same partition as Windows and use the Microsoft bootloader to choose between the OSs. This saves you the trouble of dealing with partitioning and setting up GRUB

My prized DJ headphones broke this week, and it got me thinking. Of all the gadgets I own, there are few others that would leave me reaching for them and going "D'OH" if they stopped working. What are the most important gadgets in your lives?

I used to have an old Dimension with that same problem. It had its redeeming qualities, though, namely dual-monitor support and enough power to run windows 7 without a hitch (in a machine from 2003!)

This is one of my favorite SMBC comics of all time.

It's a bit late, but here goes:

Looks like a handy trick. I have looked around for ways to do this on OS X, but have only found this:

I had the same dilemma and ended up going for the FusionGarage Grid10. It is supposed to start shipping tomorrow and it costs $300.

Look for buyers for the old one. My old landlord had one of those things in the basement and sold it to a museum when the new one was installed.
