Speaking of the tips box, where did it go?? I know one can submit tips via e-mail, but was the box removed with the new design or just relocated?

I wonder if this new universal search will be up to snuff with Gnome Do. Can't wait to check it out.

What would be wrong with just running a power chord down the swing arm? Zip-tie it in place with a bit of slack at each joint, and maybe use a USB extention chord if the wall plug is far away.

The blocked-youtube-videos-through-facebook tip has not worked for me. However, I have noticed that many of the same videos that are blocked on youtube are available through other sites such as Google Video or Vimeo. Also, if you are only playing the video for the music, you can sometimes get lucky with SoundCloud.

Just out of curiosity: Where else would it go? If you wash the eraser with water, the ink goes out into the environment via the drain. If you use a vacuum cleaner or throw the eraser away altogether, it will end up in a landfill. What diference does it make? I don't mean to belittle the environment, but I see no

I checked windows update (in Win7) for IE9 yesterday, and was surprised to find that it didn't come up. Is it like that for everybody?

I just checked that out this morning. The first beta version could do it, but now the doubletwist staff members are denying the feature ever existed on the forums. The only solution I can find is shady-looking paid shareware. iTunes won't even let me convert my tracks anymore. *sigh*

Here's mine:

Howdy everyone! I've been telling myself for years that I would ditch iTunes once and for all and replace my iPod with an Archos (or something similar). However, many of my tracks are locked up with DRM (pre-iTunes Plus). Needless to say, I don't have the time or resources to burn and rip 2700 tracks. Does anybody

First and foremost: GNOME Do! This is hands-down the handiest app for me.

I'm diggin' the Etch-A-Sketch.

One thing that is really important for new Linux users is good software, which is sometimes hard to find initially. [alternativeto.net] has a huge database of alternatives to popular applications, searchable by platform.

I would really like to see a browser that incorporates all of these by default at some point. That would be great for all of my less tech-savvy relatives who need a new computer set up. Instead of installing five different extensions, just enable "Granny Mode".

That tiny bluetooth one from Logitech seems to be a hit, but it costs a hundred freakin' bucks. This one looks similar, and it's only $35.

My only beef with my primary OS is the lack of effort from hardware- and software-manufacturers to get their products to work with it. Most of these issues are addressed by Ubuntu's developer community, but things like iTunes or specific hardware drivers still give me reason to have a Windows partition.

If this does happen, I bet it will just be a spec refresh as opposed to a completely new design, like Apple did with the iMac once or twice before it got the new screen. If their engineers can come up with something more than that in that tiny time frame, I would be impressed. Not to mention the flip-flop this would

Hey all,

I wonder if such rapid incessant blinking would cause irritation to the conjunctiva?
