I hope they dont ban crypto mining here in California. I’ve set 4 PCs chugging along 24 - 7 for over 4 years already and Im just about to break into double digit value in crypto coins. (I estimated making $9.57 so far!)

Same déjà vu I felt when I watched the first one and thought “wait, this is just a CGI FernGully”. And just like FernGully, I found it incredibly underwhelming.

Am I the only one getting déjà vu? I haven’t seen the first one since it came out but... didn’t already do the “learn to ride” and “get accepted into the tribe” and “I see you stuff” in that one? Also that shot of the Navi aiming its bow towards a helicopter-plane-type thing also feel like something we've seen…

Excellent point - I used the Lena as part of my image processing work before I found out about the origin a couple of years later. I wondered where it came from but as far as I was concerned at the time, it was just a cropped picture of a woman. It could’ve been from anywhere.

This is a pretty interesting example of context. The image, as cropped, is just a woman’s face. The knowledge that it is part of a centerfold, and, more importantly, men’s reaction to that knowledge, weaponizes it.
