'"Well, I don't see any funny women. That must be because women are simply not as funny as men." seems to be your line of reasoning here'.

"it's frustrating/baffling that there aren't more funny women" = I wish there were more funny women.

How do you get "oh then women must inherently not be funny" from my statement? I never said that. I said that I find that there are more funny men than women at least partially because I see more comedians than comediennes. It may be my fault for not seeking out more comediennes, or it may be that there aren't nearly

I actually said that there were exceptions (not just "a couple'), and listed one (and another below), then lamented the fact that there aren't more - I didn't imply that she was the only funny woman ever. How is that offensive? I'm saying I want to see more funny women, not that I hate women. People didn't read or

Gotta love downvotes for an opinion. What if I'd said, "There aren't any funny shows about families."? Would that deserve a downvote? It's not like I said, "Women can never be funny." People are way too sensitive.

I wouldn't say "knowingly" - it's not like I decided to find women unfunny. I just generally find comedians funnier than comediennes, with (as stated above) a few exceptions, Amy Poehler being one of them. It may partially be that I don't seek out comediennes, so I really don't see that many. I don't seek out male

I don't understand that criticism at all. Those are two very different characters. David Brent was a lonely lonely man who just wanted people to adore him, but he didn't really care about them. Basil cared about the people around him, even if he didn't show it most of the time. Both tried to please people, but for

I am still baffled by this show's non-success. But I do remember ABC airing it in the summer, which is just death to network shows (much like Fox did with The Loop, another hilarious two-season show). Lem and Phil were the best on-screen duo since David Addison and Maddie Hayes, and the rest of the cast was really

I think most people have this kind of barometer with certain shows and/or movies. Spaced certainly is one of those for me. The worst incident relating to this was on a first date when I asked her what kinds of movies she liked, and she replied, "I don't really like movies". I was home half an hour later re-watching Say

I'm generally in the "Women just aren't funny" camp (well, more like straddling the fence of it), but there are notable exceptions. Jessica/Daisy is firmly in the funny (hilarious) camp, to the point that it's frustrating/baffling that there aren't more funny women.

Excellent show. The "Who it’s for:" is perfect: "People who love their roommates; people who can’t stand their roommates"

It is exactly "extra content available at an additional cost". And I think you need to look up "punish" - you don't "have" to do anything. You bought all of the previous seasons for a fair price (or you wouldn't have paid for them) and were rewarded (not punished) with infinitely re-watchable content. Now you want

Yeah, someone just needs to buy mst3kclassic.com and every few days just post a new episode title and let everyone comment (sans Disqus, of course).

Cave Dwellers.

I still have the tapes, too! Not sure if they still play, though, and what in the hell would I play them on?

I remember timing my breaks at work (movie theater - no Thanksgiving off) for a few Turkey Days so that I could run home and change the VHS tape recording MST3K every six hours.

How is it a disservice? The producers made extra content available at an additional cost. This practice been going on for a very long time and it's not a surprise at all. Why do people expect so much for free?

It's perfectly fair and in keeping with DVD/Blu-Ray boxed sets in the past. In exchange for spending more money, you get something extra that people who spent less money don't have.

That's not an opinion - that's a troll. He/she posted it only to get a reaction, not in response to a query or to give an informed opinion on why it's disliked. Downvote away!
