You have two Type-A, narcissistic rich boys with the emotional intelligence of an 8yr old boy. This will go oh so well.
I see them having an ugly falling out within 18 months.

Guaranteed that Elmo gave the “Trump organization” thousands of free Tesla stock. That will motivate Don the Con to do what’s right for Tesla.
First Gear: I’m going to love the look on Elmo’s face when Trump does the opposite of whatever he promised to do to enrich him.
POP. UP. HEAD. LIGHTS.
Don’t particularly care on what, just bring em back.
I recommend completing the look with a PS1 era Lara Croft vinyl wrap.
Pay a thousand bucks a month to be laughed at when I’m in public?
“I was watching! I saw the whole thing. First it started falling over. Then it fell over.”
They sure aren’t subventing these leases much or at all at these prices, unlike some of the competition. So they are just offering an alternative finance method that has pluses and minuses. And not that it really matters with an EV that costs this much, but aren’t leases an end-run around some of the restrictions on…
I look forward to seeing loads of them wrapped in lurid advertising for write off purposes + lease write offs.
If they are doing this can we assume they made to many and everyone that actually WANTED one has it and now they are piling up with no new buyers.
The article mentions there had been a bunch of burglaries in the neighborhood recently, and then minimizes that by saying the vigilantism was caused by a stolen package. It was caused by being in an environment where there’s a lot of burglaries and now they’ve caught a criminal likely involved in those other crimes…
Most insurance policies have a clause stating they will not pay out in the event the vehicle is used for a crime, and deliberately running someone off the road definitely sounds like a crime. I wouldn’t be surprised if all the insurances involved refused to pay out.
In this case, yes, the Turo insurance should cover this, IMHO (but I would not be surprised if they worm their way out of it). The insured is the owner of the truck, they are in the business of renting them, and it’s not like you can vet who is going to decide to be a vigilante with your truck. So Turo should pay out…
Agree with all of that except I would absolutely look at them. I’d stare them down as I pass by to let them know how much easier their life could be if they weren’t such a self-entitled asshole.
Most parents think that them dropping off their kids means that they can literally do absolutely whatever they want.
I have no sympathy for parents like this. Park around the block and walk to the front of the school to get your kid. It’s pure selfishness.
“The magazine for those who like to fart uh, speed!”
In Sweden, exit signs for things like parking garages and such say “Utfart” and I thought that was the funniest thing in the universe when I was ten years old.
And speaking of Swedish, let’s talk about the Honda Fit/Jazz which was supposed to be called the Honda Fitta...
In Danish too. Our elevators say “I FART” when it is coming/occupied.
