That remains a yield in my book. Plus I now have savings to give me a cushion in case I lose my job - I will still be able to make a few mortgage payments.

I have only ever bought one new car; it was a Mazda Protege5 with a stick and it lost like 10 percent of its value in 15 months. But I won’t do it again; used cars are fun and I don’t want a new one. That doesn’t mean I would tell everyone else to do exactly the same.
Seconded on the NC. While I see what they were trying to do, it just didn’t come out right. Like the BL Allegro.
I was somehow put in charge of leading a half dozen Canadians on a scooter tour around the Greek island of Corfu. I was bartending at a hostel/commune/family farm/asylum when the owner handed me the keys to a scooter and one of the paper tablecloths, which had a rudimentary map of the island.
As with most people, I prefer my E30s with the tin tops. The convertibles are weirdly uninteresting, just like the Giulia GTC. Nonetheless, I wouldn’t kick this one out of bed, being so insanely rare.
100%. Please stop it with these restomods - plus, they all follow the same damned playbook and become generic and uninteresting. (although I appreciated the interior of the Nardone Porsche 928)
The NA Miata is the high-water mark and no succeeding generation will ever come close. But that’s just my opinion.
The greatest crime of all was the Suzuki Esteem. The original design was unusual and beautiful and interesting, and then they plopped large, shapeless headlamps on there. Same thing happened to the Renault Clio and the Daewoo Nubira at the same time, and the Mitsubishi Lancer.
It’s Charmant, with an “a”.
The JDM mirrors are (presumably) original; the awful wheels and other accoutrements make it ND for me.
Lack of maintenance versus being badly built from the get-go. Luckily I am not from the US either.
Translating things like these directly always spaltet meine Flanken. Like, I laugh myself dead at them.
Another result of tofu dregs construction practices.
I voted NP - because I hadn’t actually looked at the price, just the car. I’d like to change my vote, please.
If you said “keine Würfel” to a German you’d get only Fragezeichen in return. They’d say “das ist nicht drin” or somesuch. (I know, missing the point, but perhaps you’d like to know?)
How about “he says what he believes and believes what he says”?
If it’s $69,420 then they deserve what they get.
My wife is a nurse and getting any straight answers regarding money is a PITA. She’s quite frugal, just has zero clue about what is coming in and going out. One of those “I know interest is bad but I don’t know what it is” products of the public school system (straight-A student, too).
Toyota needs to create an EV conversion kit for the Mirai. That would be less wasteful than selling cars that cannot, for most intents and purposes, be driven.
