Pretty sure this post entirely consists of shitting on JLR (would you read this and buy a Range Rover?). What JLR doesn’t have, though, is weirdo fanbois coming out to say that what they’re doing is somehow better or a disruption or something.

In terms of sales numbers, I agree that making the Purosangue electric would have the most impact. But I also see why Ferrari would go more traditional for the engine choice, so as to minimize calls that it is not a real Ferrari.

Isn’t it Birkin?

I guess you didn’t read my comment. They should make a truck (not the Cybertruck, but something more Dodge Dakota-sized) to sell to people and the Stans and Elon could stay busy with their never-ready Cybertruck.

Halo cars rarely earn money, and it’s not like Tesla needs brand recognition.

The Roadster, while obviously attractive to people, would never make enough sales to have any impact whatsoever. They could have made a normal looking truck to sell years ago, and the Cybertruck could have been Elon’s own little thing that he could fiddle with while the Stans watch.

Are any of the Tesla shorters making money or did it all take too long and they went bankrupt in the interim?

Most people do not need loans. Most people who work in restaurants are not trying to get a mortgage.

Decent wages help, coupled with stability and predictability. Friends and family in Sweden live comfortably on small incomes (with higher prices, Big Mac index is $5.59 v $5.15 here), because they don’t have to worry about sudden $1,000 healthcare bills, daycare is a nominal fee, etc etc.

As a European living in the US, who thinks tipping culture has gotten completely out of hand, but also used to bartend and wait tables for a living - I am torn.

Sounds like a nothing burger to me. Although, drinking a martini twenty minutes after it was made sounds like a complete waste of money.

That, and much Norway is also quite sparsely populated. Hell, the cities are sparsely populated.

It really looks like it was developed for the Chinese market foremost. Or they are just following Tesla’s lead in maximizing plainness within a humpbacked envelope.

I just saw a Black and Tan (actually, more like Ebony over Coffee Ice Cream) Maybach S-class on 35th street yesterday. I wonder if they’d be okay with that?

Not sure, but based on context and so on I am guessing Babe Ruth? I have seen drawings of him in back issues of MAD magazine so I think it might be him.

Haha. I have seen this movie hundreds of times - on VHS, but taped from Swedish state television sometime in the early 80s. Subtitled, and the VHS quality got progressively worse over the years.

I am so glad I never heard of this beast before - because now I can learn all about it. Jeebus.

$393 a day is nearly $12K a month... We could spend half of that to pay people to do something useful and their whole family would live decent lives.

Once you buy this, I will help you apply for a zoning variance for $40K.

I saw one, just after it was released, and haven’t seen any more since (outside of a Ford dealership). Contractors and working man cosplayers need to burn dinosaur juice, very few others need pickups. Here in NY, people who work drive vans (protection from theft, rain, generally more spacious aside from giraffe
