Tunnels are (generally) more efficient and cheaper, too - but no politician wants to stand in front of a hole with oversized scissors in their hands. So bridges it is. Better photo ops.

There are literally millions of cars I find more interesting than another square rigged offroader. If I wanted an offroad vehicle, I could think of any number of things I’d rather have (Nissan Patrol, vintage G-wagen, Scout, LX450, CJ-7, original Range Rover).
(can’t find your original response) That sounds like fun to create - find me on Wikipedia with the same username and send me a private message, maybe I will be able to help you out.
The idea is perfect, it just doesn’t cover every problem out there.
I think a bumper is a bit on the large side.
Huhhh? Where? WTF?
No. It’s the State being forced to appear as if they’re doing something for the upset residents, while turning it into another revenue stream.
It would be one thing if the NYPD was actually interested in making the community a better place. By all means stop loud obnoxious a-holes, and anyone with a pop bang exhaust. As usual, however, all it means is that cops will hang out at Cars & Coffees and ticket anyone who has a big exhaust tip and doesn’t look…
Ummm, being waken up at 2am or having a toddler woken up ten minutes after you got him to sleep is a lot more than a 15 second inconvenience. Tuning is fun, tuning is great, but people need to stop being raging assholes.
I live near a night time racetrack (the Cross Island Parkway) and there is nothing I’d rather see than this latest idiotic trend removed.
It may have been hyperbole.
My inner teenage always wanted a Porsche toaster for some reason. But I am rather tired of Porsches after hordes of identical 911s (well, trying so hard to look different that they become impossible to tell apart) have swamped every single car meet this year in the New York region.
The location for the R31 photos is perfect - the skyline matches the Skyline to a T. Don’t know that they’ll get much more than $15K for it, though.
Yes, I’m aware it means something different in classical English. FTFY.
The grass is always greener... I wish for a Citroën AX GT.
I feel like I don’t see a higher percentage of car lovers in the US than in Europe. I see people dependent on cars since it’s the only way to get around, but I generally only meet car lovers at shows. And even with cheap gas we have sooooo much less choice available to us. Thankfully I can import an old fun car…
Correlation, not causation. Much of the RTW legislation is a response to low standards of living - states chasing the bottom in the hope of bringing industry in.
The way Tesla stock works, I think Musk has figured out that if he says something crazy and the stock loses 2%, it proceeds to gain 10% shortly afterwards. Once Hertz places their order, Tesla stock will shoot up again.
I think that being into old cars will eventually require being able to create 3D models of parts.
If I was wealthy I would open a 3D print repair shop just to keep me busy and challenged. People could bring in their broken bits and bobs and I would have fun recreating them for a nominal fee.
